LinQuest Information Systems Security Officer (ISSO) in Aurora, Colorado

DescriptionLinQuest is seeking Information Systems Security Officers to join ahigh-performance team supporting the 460th Space Wing and Space and MissileSystems Center (SMC) at Buckley Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado.Candidates selected will focus on Information Assurance and Risk ManagementFramework to support the Space Based Infrared System (SBIRS) groundsegment network architecture operations. Current TS mandatory, SCI eligible.The ISSO's primary function is supporting Department of Defense (DoD)agencies, HQ Air Force, HQ AFSPC and 460th Space Wing requirements. Theposition will provide "day-to-day" support for Collateral and SensitiveCompartmented Information (SCI) activities.Responsibilities:Recommend resource allocations required to securely operate and maintain thenetwork enterprise (NE) IA requirements.Participate in information system risk assessment during the AandA processDevelop security requirements for hardware, software, and serviceacquisitions specific to NE IA SBIRS networksIdentify alternative functional IA security strategies to address SBIRS NEsecurity concerns and develop plans capable of implementation.Evaluate the adequacy of security measures proposed or provided in response torequirements listed in acquisition and operations documentsDevelop and implement programs to ensure systems, network, and data usersare aware of, understand, and follow NE and IA policiesEvaluate IT enclave systems, assess risk posture and system securityfindings, and recommend mitigation and /or remediation actionsRequired Skills:Computer networking concepts, protocols, and security methodologiesRisk management processes (e.g., methods for assessing and mitigating risk)Cybersecurity threats and vulnerabilitiesData backup and recoveryBusiness continuity and disaster recovery continuity of operations plansHost and network access control mechanismsCybersecurity best practices used to manage risks related to the use,processing, storage, and transmission of information or dataUsing any Unix/Linux derived operating systemCurrent industry methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminatingIT security assessment, monitoring, detection, and remediation tools andprocedures utilizing standards-based concepts and capabilitiesNetwork traffic analysis methodsSystem and application security threats and vulnerabilitiesServer administration and systems engineering theories, concepts, and methodsInstalling/deploying Information Systems (IS) in Data CentersSystem life cycle management principles, including software security andusabilityInformation security program management and project management principles andtechniquesCurrent and emerging threats or threat vectorsSystem administration, network, and operating system hardening techniquesPersonally Identifiable Information (PII) data security standardsLaws, policies, procedures, or governance relevant to cybersecurity forcritical infrastructuresExperience facilitating scheduled risk reviews as well as developing customreports, layouts, and filters; ability to coordinate Project Team meetingsRequired Experience:Bachelor's Degree in related discipline or 5+ years' experience in theIT/Cyber industryA minimum of 3 years of experience as an ISSOExperience using RMF and ITIPSIncident management and response experienceSecurity+ certification (required); CISSP...
