Northrop Grumman Mission Systems in Aurora, CO is currently seeking a Information Systems Team Lead 3 that will provide technical support and team leadership for a team of 14-20 system maintainers. The team will maintain systems at a high level of availability by resolving problems based on mission criticality and guidance. This will require a broad level of knowledge of many high priority systems across a multi-location enterprise. This position is an 8x5 position (with after-hours call-in responsibility).
What You'll get to Do:
Direct team of 14-20 system maintainers in duties that they preform so that all tasks are performed in a timely and efficient manner.
Performs Tier-2 software application maintenance on assigned mission systems running a variety of operating systems to include Solaris, UNIX, Linux, Windows, and VMS.
Performs routine and preventative maintenance such as general computer tasks, application loads, disk utilization, system loading and system monitoring.
Detects, isolates, documents, quickly reports, and resolves system outages, or problems encountered during operations of the operational system baseline, which includes the collections of diagnostic data, restoring the system operation, development of workarounds, and other activities necessary for recovery of a system.
Accurately document problems in logging and discrepancy reporting tools.
Collect data describing the environment at the time of the failure and perform other activities in support of Tier-3 maintenance provider DR investigation and resolution.
Perform system monitoring, analyze and document performance and conduct trend analyses as required.
Also support system engineering groups as required for ongoing analysis of system utilization and make recommendation for design changes and enhancements.
Environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems.
Provides oversight and guidance to entry/junior level system maintainers.
Ensure team has completed all training required for job functions and that team is performing job as trained.
Communicate with management and team about status, issues, projects, tasks etc...
Mentor junior and senior team members so that they can continue learning and improving their skills and responsibilities within the system.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
This position requires a BS Degree with 5 years of experience; 3 years of experience with a Masters; 0 years of experience with a PhD; 7 years of experience with an associates; OR 9 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree.
Active TS/SCI security clearance with CI polygraph.
Have strong leadership and team-building skills.
A minimum 5 years of experience in UNIX, Linux, or Windows Systems Administration working with customers in technical operations or engineering.
A self-starter capable of multitasking and efficiently managing their time in a dynamic environment with demanding deadlines while requiring minimal levels of supervision.
Have excellent writing, speaking, analytical, project management, organizational, and customer service skills.
Experience presenting technical information to customers, clients and/or internal audiences.
The ability to work effectively with frequent and direct customer interaction in a real-time operational environment.
Must have strong background and experience troubleshooting and debugging applications.
Must be able to work under pressure in restoring high priority systems back to operations.
Must be willing to work a flexible schedule to provide maintenance coverage as needed.
Must have good communication and presentation skills in order for the effective and accurate exchange of information across a multi-location enterprise, with customer visibility into crew-based actions and response.
Current DODI 8570.1-M IAT Level II (Sec+) certification required.
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
Ability to navigate, debug, and modify programs in an advanced programming language.
Experience with storage products from Oracle/Sun/STK, EMC, IBM, NetApp, and/or DDN.
Experience with virtual / cloud computing technologies using Citrix, VMware, and Amazon Web Services (AWS).
