The Lead Senior Systems Engineer will help build out, maintain, andtroubleshoot our rapidly expanding infrastructure. You will be part of atalented team of engineers that demonstrate superb technical competency,delivering mission critical infrastructure and ensuring the highest levels ofavailability, performance and security. Qualified systems engineers willhave a background in IT, computer systems engineering, or systemsengineering aEssential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInstall, configure, test and maintain operating systems, applicationsoftware and system management toolsManage and monitor all installed systems and infrastructureProactively ensure the highest levels of systems and infrastructureavailabilityMonitor and test application performance for potential bottlenecks, identifypossible solutions, and work with developers to implement those fixesMaintain security, backup, and redundancy strategiesWrite and maintain custom scripts (VB & Powershell) to increase systemefficiency and lower the human intervention time on any tasksParticipate in the design of information and operational support systemsProvide 2nd and 3rd level supportLiaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolutionMentor other on-staff engineersMaintain and update documentation, system maps, network maps and otherdocumentation to keep records of the current IT infrastructureOther duties may be assigned.Supervisory ResponsibilitiesThis job requires supervisory responsibilities.
