Raytheon Technologies Manager III-Program Management in Aurora, Colorado

Raytheon Intelligence & Space / Constellation Management and Protection / Mission Operations (RI&S/CMP/MO) provides mission-focused and highly motivated Operations, Maintenance, and Engineering support in an exciting, high tempo work environment for the Intelligence Community.

Job Description:

RI&S/CMP/MO is seeking a Program Manager to be responsible for the successful execution and leadership of a team that provides 24x7 operations, hardware and software engineering, system administration, system engineering, and training for a complex operational program (Rushmore).

Responsibilities include managing the training and certification of employees, maintaining program staffing as a subcontractor in an off-site Governmentt facility, liaising with the Raytheon Technologies MO Site lead, and engaging with the team to mentor and develop emerging subject matter experts and future leaders. The PM will often be the primary interface to the end Customer, as well as the interface to Raytheon Technologies and Prime contractor executives. This individual will also support and communicate future growth and new business opportunities related to operations, maintenance and sustainment.

The program manager is responsible for all aspects of the program, including overall strategy, technical, cost, schedule performance and customer satisfaction.

Some CONUS and OCONUS travel required.

Required Skills / Knowledge

10 Years participating in Program Management, Engineering or Operations and Sustainment leadership, with a B.S./B.A. in Engineering, Science, or Mathematics or 18 years of experience in lieu of a degree

Minimum of 5 years of IC or DoD related Operations and/or Sustainment experience for critical, large scale systems, including transitioning new systems into operations

Minimum of 5 years of experience in the defense industry in Program Management and leadership roles with responsibility for cost, schedule, technical, and customer relationships

Broad technical understanding of various operational systems in this environment

Experience with business and project management tools and procedures (e.g. IPDS, EVMS, IMS/IMP, Risk and Opportunity Management, Financial Forecasts and EAC)

Experience with engineering processes and leading technical teams

Experience with capture and proposal development processes, including capture management, basis of estimate (BOE), and IPDS processes.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Experience in mentoring and team building

Excellent oral and written communication skills to include the ability to interact effectively with customers at all levels including senior executives

Must have existing TS/SCI w/ favorably adjudicated CI Poly

Must be able to obtain Level 5 Program Management Certification within 6 months of hire

Desired Skills:

Master’s Degree in Business or Engineering

Software / System development and integration experience

Senior level military experience or equivalent corporate business experience

Knowledge and demonstrated application of process efficiency techniques (e.g., Six Sigma, Lean Engineering, Kaizen, Structured Improvement Activity)
