Raytheon Mid Level IT Project Manager in Aurora, Colorado
Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Raytheon is currently seeking an IT Project Manager to provide planning, oversight and coordination for multiple IT projects. Candidate will have both Project Management and operational tasks in support of an IT organization of over 200 people. Candidate must have intermediate experience with MS Project and MS Excel. This position requires that the candidate interact with senior customers as well as senior Raytheon personnel. The candidate will be expected to fill in for the Special Projects manager when that person is unavailable. The Environment fluctuates between routine and urgent, depending on ongoing tasks, priorities, and performance of assigned systems. Call in support in certain cases may be required. This position requires a BS Degree in a related discipline, and minimum of 4 years’ experience or 12 years of equivalent experience in lieu of a degree. Required Skills: Experience with MS Project and MS Excel. Experience in creating a project plan and managing the plan’s activities. Experience in managing a project team and ensuring the timeline is adhered to. Experience successfully managing multiple IT small to mid-sized projects to budget and time constraints. Experience in working with stakeholders to refine requirements. Experience working project with shifting timelines and priorities. Excellent communication and customer interaction skills speaking to key technical issues in laymen terms. Experience in negotiating with diverse personalities to achieve project goals. Experience managing a projects critical path. Experience in providing project milestone updates. Experience in reporting project status during and after projects completion Experience providing lessons learned once project has been completed. Ability to multi-task in a dynamic environment with changing priorities Must be a team player that is willing to provide support to a variety of tasks and to support unplanned high priority customer activities Must be available to work occasional overtime as required Must possess strong customer service and teaming skills, proven customer interaction and customer support experience Must be able to lead a team of eight personnel in the absence of the team manager. Desired Skills: PMP certification Raytheon PL6 certification Management experience with a team of 5-10 Successful completion of several mid level projects Experience working a critical situation project which is behind on schedule and over running on costs.
