Raytheon IIS/GIS provides Operations and Maintenance support for the Intelligence Community Raytheon Intelligence and Information Systems (IIS) is seeking a highly motivated and adaptive Technical Team Lead with experience managing technical teams and a strong Linux and Windows system administration background. As team lead you will work with a group of Windows, UNIX, and Linux System Administrators to provide SA support to high priority infrastructure/systems, servers, clusters, and workstations running a variety of operating systems/applications. The team lead will be responsible for managing a multi-contractor team and will serve as the company supervisor for the Raytheon members of the team. This position may require occasional travel. Principal Systems Administrators at this level are expected to provide technical leadership in delivering solutions to complex IT requirements. The Principal System Administrator will represent the IT team and will interface directly with the Customer and Raytheon program management. The team lead will be responsible for supporting development, installation, configuration, maintenance, and high priority troubleshooting efforts. The team lead will be required to make significant contributions to projects, status updates, briefings, and will advise senior SAs on enhancements, availability, and performance issues applicable to operations of the Enterprise/Site infrastructure. The lead is also expected to be responsible for and to provide support to the following activities: perform administration and maintenance of infrastructure/systems; perform planning, coordination, and execution of operating system installations and upgrades, and patches; install and configure systems, servers, workstations and peripherals; respond to all SA related work requests including working with system maintainers and system engineering; maintain and update standards documentation; act as the Customer's focal point for bringing together wide-ranging efforts that are implemented across agencies. This position supports Task Order work and is contingent on customer approval of the Task Order scope and period of performance. Must have a current DODI 8570.01-M IAT Level II (minimum). Required Skills : Previous IT experience leading a team of System Administrators at a Customer facility Advanced knowledge, understanding, and experience of System Administration to include Solaris, UNIX/Linux, Windows, VMware, and Information Assurance Must possess strong customer service and team leadership skills, proven customer interaction and customer support experience Desired Skills : Visual Basic Scripting (VBS), PERL shell scripting Required Education (including Major): Bachelor's degree in computer science field 8+ years relevant work experience in a Windows/UNIX systems administration support and leadership role Job Responsibilities: Prioritize lines of effort and adjust as necessary to in a dynamic environment for maximum benefit to the customer. Provide innovative technical solutions to complex problems that maximize resources and personnel available in order to facilitate the system design, documentation, deployment, testing and integration of enterprise IT audit capabilities. Assist with overseeing the day-to-day technical functions of a team of Cyber Security professionals and provide feedback as appropriate to the program functional lead on the most advantageous employment of available resources Attend and provide input to Technical Exchange Meetings (TEM) for a variety of customer directed activities Function as an alternate functional lead in the absence of the appointed functional lead Perform additional duties and tasks as necessary and directed Required Skills: Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 8 years of applicable experience in similar roles – OR – a minimum of 16 years equivalent experience in-lieu of a degree Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (DoD 8570) IAT Level II qualifying certification or higher (e.g. Current Security+ CE) Current TS/SCI security clearance with CI Polygraph 3 or more years effectively managing diverse teams of technical professionals and associated resources in order to meet assigned deadlines and productivity targets 8 or more years of experience performing computer systems administration and troubleshooting with the MS Windows and Linux based OS platforms and applications Effective presentation, teaming, customer service, written, and oral communication skills Desired Skills: Information Assurance Workforce Improvement Program (DoD 8570) IAT Level III qualifying certification (e.g. Current CISSP) Experience providing Tier 3 support to enterprise customers for across multiple platforms Working knowledge of the RSA NetWitness or similar SIEM tool suite Familiarity with IP based networking, network support, and cloud technology concepts Availability to work occasional overtime as necessary Qualified applicants will be subject to a security investigation and must meet minimum qualifications for access to classified information.
