support our government client’s activities in their locations.

At GDIT, people are our differentiator. As a Training Specialist supports and

manages the responsibilities of the successful completion of all tasks in assigned projects. Experienced Intelligence personnel who trains, mentors core tradecraft learning requirements of the intelligence community, as well as provides installation maintenance and troubleshooting support of information systems applications and related peripheral hardware.

  • Instructs intelligence professionals on tradecraft and other issues.

  • Develops and/or refines courseware and curricula to meet customer training needs, establishing course content and objectives.

  • Enhances student competencies in course-specific disciplines.

  • Evaluates student performance and makes recommendations for improvement.

  • May provide training at customer locations, as part of a mobile training team, or virtually.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies and subject areas.

  • Contractors shall have a good working knowledge of all aspects of functions/ operations, mission requirements, training, and planning, along with a knowledgeable understanding of connectivity and capabilities of all include how, what they can, or will provide to the overall illustration.

  • Perform basic operator functions on the following systems and how they are integrated. Maintain current knowledge of supporting information systems in accordance with user specified technical architecture and tactical operation center training environments, to support the conduct training and exercises.

  • Conducts on-site and/or in-house training classes, seminars, self-study, lectures, demonstrations, simulation exercises and discussion groups for customers and/or employees.

  • Coordinates the development of measurement tools to evaluate the effectiveness of instruction or training interventions.

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant training and technology as assigned.

  • Hardware duties and Responsibilities: Installs, configures, and upgrades computer hardware and software.

  • Provides end-user software troubleshooting and support

  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.

  • Provides troubleshooting and support.

  • Participates in the administration of e-mail systems.

  • Coordinates development of deliverables and products.

  • Must be able to track project studies, plans, action items, etc..

  • Maintains current knowledge of relevant technologies as assigned.

  • Participates in special projects as required.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: BA/BS (or equivalent experience), 2+ years of experience - Understanding of remote VoIP administration

  • experience with conferencing system configuration

  • Knowledge of CAT5, CAT6 and copper Termination requirements

  • Familiarity with telephone testing and installation equipment

Skills Requirement:

  1. Knowledge of the principles, methods, processes, and applicable regulations relevant to the subject discipline.

  2. Experience in classroom instruction and courseware development.

  3. Specific certifications or military education/training may be required, depending on job assignment.

  4. Candidate must have or be able to obtain a certificate or certification meeting evolving computing environment requirements.

Must possess appropriate and current DoD Information Assurance (IA) Certification to be considered for employment; either CompTIA A+, CompTIA Network+, CompTIA Security+ CE, Systems Security Certified Practitioner (SSCP), OR CCNA-Security. CompTIA Security+ CE is the preferred certification.

In addition must attain the required DoD 8570 Computing Environment (CE) Certification within six (6) months of Hire Date.

As part of your role/function on the program, you will be granted privileged user access. Privileged Users are subject to greater scrutiny as a direct result of the significant responsibilities placed upon them. Please be aware that because of these critical duties, you will be subject to additional IT system monitoring, and supervisory evaluation to ensure continuous adherence to Privileged User processes and procedures. Privileged Users are subject to a zero tolerance policy for security violations.

Because of the sensitive nature of the work being done for this government client, all candidates must hold a TS/SCI with Polygraph.
