Weapons and Tactics and Operations Systems Engineer (Job Number:439635)



SAIC has a new opportunity for a Weapons and Tactics and Operations Systems Engineer in Aurora, CO to work within the Intelligence Community on complex projects crucial to our national security objectives. Qualified candidates must possess a TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph.


Key responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Must provide technical expertise on space protection and space situational awareness

  • Individual will develop and coordinate space Bourne doctrine.

  • Direct experience with Mission Operations Directorate and site operations

  • Relevant SIGINT constellation and tasking process

  • RF knowledge (basic understanding of RF principles, deeper level of knowledge is desired.

  • Strong knowledge of system engineering fundamentals.

  • Preferable experience with rendezvous and proximity operations for developing co-orbital threat scenarios and mitigations

  • Provide critical technical support for operational review boards that impact ADF-C operations.

  • Integrator and liaison to directorates and divisions for enterprise and site projects that impact command and control operations.

  • Develop, review, and update SOIs, SOPs, checklists, and Job Aids with technical data and integrate procedures and events to ensure accurate procedures and documentation is in place.

  • Develop, review, and integrate requirement changes related to acquisition deliveries and launches that impact operations to include, RFCs, ORDs, Certification Criteria, etc.

  • Develop and deliver plans, assessments, reports, and briefings to the Government in support of their forums and industry visits for further analysis of emerging technologies.

  • Document and deliver results including related empirical data, engineering judgment, and assessment of alternatives for each task in formal reports and/or briefings.

  • Identify and communicate system engineering risks, issues, assumptions, mitigations, and dependencies.

  • The Contractor shall collaborate with stakeholders to identify and seek to resolve systems engineering gaps, especially as it concerns end-to-end product compatibility.




  • Ability to obtain TS/SCI with Poly


  • Bachelor's Degree with 6+ years of related systems engineering experience to include 10 years of relevant SIGINT system ground processing experience

  • Knowledgeable about the intelligence community agencies.
