JOB SUMMARY:IT Specialist performs a variety of computer systems/LAN/WANadministration and support tasks, including analyzing, constructing,documenting, testing, maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting ofLAN/WAN, computer hardware, operating systems, softwareapplications, peripherals and communication devices for the entireorganization. Exercises judgment and decision making in the diagnosis andresolution of LAN/WAN, computer hardware and software problems.Responsible for providing customer service and technical support for endusers. Responsible for partnering with multiple departments in order toevaluate and understand complex business problems, their technicalimplications, propose and develop solutions. Responsible for developingcustomized reports from databases to extract and collect data according tomanagement needs. Responsible for maintaining and updating organization'swebsESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Assist with providing Systems Administration, including maintaininguser/group accounts, user configuration, trouble-shooting accessproblems and completion of on-site documentation. Assist in Server infrastructure management, performance monitoring,Operating System upgrades and troubleshooting. Assist in the process of systems backup and recovery procedures. Analyze and solve computer problems and enable computer technology to meetthe needs of the organizations. Understand, program and administer organization's database structures. Perform system studies to assist organization to realize maximum benefitfrom investments in equipment, personnel, and business processes. Analyze user requirements, procedures, and problems to automateprocessing or to improve existing hardware and software systems. Develop custom reports or modify existing reports to meet variousorganization needs. Maintain and update organization's websites. Prepare time and cost estimates for completing projects. At least once a month, being on call for phone and/or onsite supportfor emergencies. Oversees IS Department in absence of IS Manager. Ability to communicate on all levels with management members,employees, or vendors. Ability to read, analyze and interpret common journals, businessreports, and financial reports. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from managementmembers or customers/employees. Ability to effectively extract and present data to top management and/orboard of directors. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, andproportions to practical situations. Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and drawvalid conclusions. Ability to read, write, analyze and interpret technical documentationin English. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from managementmembers, customers/employees. Troubleshoot Digital and Analog phone systems and components. Other duties as assigned.EducationoBachelor s Degree in a related area or specialized computer training. Experience/Knowledgeo3-4 years minimum experience in the field or in a related areaoWindows operating systems, (IE, Windows XP/ Vista/ 7)oServer operating systems, (IE, Linux, Windows 2000/2003/2008/2012)oData Analysis, Report Writing, T-SQL programmingoHardware configurationoNetwork technologiesoWeb site architecturesoHospitality software experience beneficialoAbility to use and learn different hardware and software configurations.
