Infrastructure Development Engineer Work Location: Boulder, CO Job Code:1808 DescriptionPosition DescriptionWill support application development of research software, software stack,and Infrared/IR weather science applications. Will manage sourceconfiguration management tools such as Git, perform software builds,testing, and routine system administrative activities. Will provide hardwareprocurement and management life-cycle support, server provisioning,configuration management to servers, and automating routine tasking usingscripRequired Skills8+ years of experience developing science applications in a researchenvironment. Other skills and/or specialized knowledge required include:* Proficiency in Linux shell scripting including bash, c-shell and othervariants, and expertise in Linux/Unix shell programming;* Proficiency in programming in Python;* Familiarity with database concepts and with running Postgres or MySQL;* Familiarity with Linux classic CLI tools and Linux OS installation conceptssuch as disk partition, network, RPM, and YUM;* Excellent oral and written communication skills;* Willingness to work around functional teams and be a team player.Desired skills include:Experience with AWS or IBM Bluemix Cloud technology;Experience with SCM tools such as GIT/Subversion, Confluence, JIRA and Nexus;Experience with Continuous integration/Continonously with Jenkins,Docker, Ansible, Chef, or Puppet;Experience with Linux KVM.Must be a US Citizen and be able to pass a background investigation to obtaina TS/SCI clearance.
