Clovis Oncology, Inc. Product Manager/Senior Product Manager - Patient Marketing in Boulder, Colorado

Job Summary

The US Marketing Team members are responsible for the commercial promotion of Rubraca®. This entails ownership in the development and execution of mission critical strategies and tactics that ensure optimal positioning, demand, utilization, and overall growth of the brand. The PM/SPM will be responsible for leveraging insights to develop strategies and tactics to support on-label use of Rubraca in a potential new US indication for metastatic Castrate Resistant Prostate Cancer (mCRPC).

While the core responsibilities of this role will be supporting Patient / Direct to Consumer Marketing efforts for Rubraca’s future indication in mCRPC, success requires talented marketers with the ability to significantly contribute beyond their role. Strong teamwork, collaboration, communication, presentation skills and a commitment to compliance with all laws and regulations of our industry are a must for success in this role.

Job Responsibilities

• Contributes to the development of the indication launch/brand plan for the US with responsibility for defining and executing key areas within the associated tactical plans • Manages associated budget and agency partners to deliver innovative, impactful programs and resources that optimally pull through the launch plan • Be a champion of the patient voice, to ensure that messaging, tactics, and deployment of those tactics are in alignment with patient informational and educational needs • Partners with analytics and market research to distill insight, validate business opportunities, optimize marketing mix, and monitor return on investment (ROI) of individual marketing programs • Drives collaboration with all cross functional partners, including sales, regulatory, legal, analytics, market research, competitive intelligence, patient advocacy, medical affairs, and market access • Assesses impact of competitive developments and supports leaders in developing response plans

Qualifications

• Demonstrates enthusiasm, strong initiative, and high sense of urgency • High level of commitment to cancer patients and a vigilance for understanding their needs • Knowledge and understanding of the drug development, regulatory review and commercialization processes for specialized products (oncology preferred) • Experience in successfully representing the commercial perspective during the regulatory/legal review of promotional materials • Enthusiasm, confidence, ability to work on multiple tasks, problem solving ability, creativity and ability to prioritize effectively to meet personal, team and company goals • Curiosity to understand best practices for channel marketing across industries; confidence in proposing change and novel tactics for brand consideration • Business acumen to support the ROI determination of promotional spend • Strong verbal, written communication and presentation skills; able to communicate in a concise, engaging and convincing manner • Experience in marketing strategy and tactic design with an ability to communicate ideas to internal partners and external agencies • Capable of leveraging data and analytics to distill insights and drive data-based decision making • Established leadership traits with an ability to mentor junior team members, collaborate effectively, and positively influence decisions

Education and Experience

• BA/BS degree in business, marketing, or core sciences • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in pharmaceutical or life sciences (marketing, sales, sales training, market access, clinical, etc.) • Experience in pharmaceutical patient marketing strongly preferred, ideally with emphasis on a similar demographic (e.g. 60+ aged men with chronic health conditions) • Some expertise of the Prostate Cancer disease setting preferred

Working Conditions

• Able to sit for long periods at a desk • Able to read and review large quantities of printed material or online material • Boulder, CO Office Based Position with 10-20% travel expected.
