In this role, the RandD Engineer II will collaboratewith a team of expert professionals to understand customer requirements andaccomplish development objectives.Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesPerforms moderately complex development activities, including the design,implementation, maintenance, testing and documentation of software modulesand sub-systemsUnderstands and employs best practicesPerforms moderately complex bug verification, release testing and betasupport for assigned products. Researches problems discovered by QA or productsupport and develops solutionsUnderstands the marketing requirements for a product, including targetenvironment, performance criteria and competitive issuesWorks under the general supervision of a development managerMinimum Education/Certification Requirements and ExperienceBS in Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 2 years'experience or MSWorking experience with software design and development methodologiesPreferred Qualifications and SkillsTechnical knowledge and experience with C++ (or related language),data structures and algorithms, and object-oriented designFamiliarity with electromagnetic, circuit or system simulation, along withfundamental electromagnetic and signal integrity conceptsFamiliarity with PCB, package and/or IC layout processes and toolsKnowledge of computational geometry and computer graphicsExperience in a large-scale commercial software development environmentGood communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to learn quickly and to collaborate with others in a geographicallydistributed teamCULTURE AND VALUESCulture and values are incredibly important to Ansys.
