We have amultidisciplinary staff of 160 professionals with expertise in engineering,economics, market research, statistics and social and behavioralsciences, providing comprehensive services to our clients in areas of energyand natural resource sustainability.This position is for Spring and Summer 2021 graduates. Cadmus recruits on arolling basis; we will reach out to qualified applicants in late 2020 orearly 2021.ResponsibilitiesAs a Research Analyst, duties might include:Participating in research efforts, ensuring consistency and quality ofresearch methodsPerforming residential, commercial, and industrial site visits to verifyenergy efficiency measure installation, install metering equipment,and/or collect relevant dataRegular travel during business hours to local sites, and occasionalovernight travel to other regions for up to 1 week at a timeAnalyzing collected data using Excel or other analytical software,identifying trends, summarizing program events, and identifying causalimpacts on program resultsDeveloping scripts in Python, R, or other analytics software to analyze dataDocumenting findings for inclusion in clearly written, concise reports toclientsQualificationsBasicUndergraduate degree in mechanical, electrical, or chemical engineering,or related field (Graduating Spring/Summer 2021)Proficient in MS Office applications, including Word and ExcelExperience with analyzing and interpreting dataExcellent written and oral communication skillsAbility to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, including settingpriorities and adapting to changes in a time-sensitive, deliverable-drivenworkplaceDriven to take initiative and to self-direct on assignments, while knowingwhen to seek help and mentorship as you grown into your careerDriver's license (vehicle ownership not required)Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States as a U.S PermResident or U.S. CitizenPreferredFamiliarity with energy sector or utility industryFamiliarity with Python, Matlab, R, SQL, or other software programs,tools, and platformsFamiliarity with energy simulation tools (such as eQUEST, Trane TRACE,EnergyPlus, or equivalent)Applied experience with quantitative research activities in an academic orprofessional settingFamiliarity with project management tactics and tools, including schedulesoftware and budget trackingExperience working in a professional/consulting business environmentAdditional InformationThis position may be located in any of the following offices: Waltham,MA; Boulder, CO; Portland, OR; Oakland, CARegular travel during business hours to local sites, and occasional domesticovernight travel for up to one week at a time is required (approximately15-25% travel annually)A valid driver's license and ability to drive is required; vehicleownership is not requiredTo apply, please include a cover letter and 3-5 page work or writing sample.Cadmus is an Equal Opportunity, Affirmative Action Employer and prohibitsunlawful discrimination.
