Google Senior Business & Forecasting Planner, Fitbit Global in Boulder, Colorado

Minimum qualifications:

  • Experience using spreadsheet and presentation software.

  • Experience in sales forecasting, business analysis, or related field with a consumer-packaged goods company in electronics.

  • Experience articulating data with an inherent aptitude to quantify and support conclusions (with data).

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience with statistical models and measurement techniques (e.g., generalized linear models, time series analysis).

  • Experience with developing forecasting tools and enhancing reporting capabilities

  • Attention to detail, ability to prioritize and manage multiple deliverables simultaneously

  • Showcase an intellectual curiosity with attention to detail on all projects and deliverables and an ability to independently troubleshoot and root cause problems.

  • Clear and concise communication with business partners at varying leadership levels

Our team is within the Fitbit Sales & Marketing organization, and are an important advisor to sales leaders. We thrive in fast-paced environments and have a passion for analytics and continuous process improvements. We manage Fitbit region sales forecasts globally.

In this role, you will collaborate with Region Sales Forecast teams and cross-functional business partners to ensure we have a cohesive global point of sale, shipment and right sized channel inventory forecasts rollup that encompasses historical data, customer insights, marketplace trends and promotional plans. You will also own some region-specific deliverables and operate as a subject matter expert in various forecast related areas.

You have a passion for analytics and continuous operational process improvement. You are comfortable with ambiguity, have strong attention to detail, and are motivated by a fast-paced environment where thinking big and diving deep are critical. You are inquisitive and not afraid to challenge how we can improve on the status quo.

You are naturally a strong individual contributor with proven strategic and tactical experience owning sophisticated forecasting and operational processes.

Additional Information

(Colorado only*) Minimum salary of $114,000 + bonus + equity + benefits.

*Note: Disclosure as required by sb19-085 (8-5-20) of the minimum salary compensation for this role when being hired into our offices in Colorado.

  • Collaborate with global region forecast business partners to ensure POS and shipment forecasts are aligned with Weeks of Stock (WOS) targets and on-hand inventory needs

  • Conduct monthly Global Forecast team reviews, providing key insights to forecasts trends, calling out risks and opportunities within and across each of the region rollups

  • Conduct weekly Global Forecast team meetings to review the latest actual vs. forecast trends, as well as deep dive on exceptions and recommendations to improve forecast accuracy

  • Manage monthly bottom-up/top-down forecast reconciliation process: ensure forecast global operations database rollups are accurate (consistent assumptions and timing across all regions) prior to submission to Supply Operations Partners

  • Refine business processes to optimize task efficiencies and improve forecast accuracy. Manage the global forecast alignment process and sharing of best practices across the regional forecast teams
