Qualcomm is utilizing its traditional strengths in digital wireless technologies to play a central role in the evolution of automotive infotainment and autonomous driving. We are investing in several supporting technologies including 4G, 5G, ADAS, and Deep Learning.You will join the CR&D software team focused on definition and implementation of the overall testing strategy for a new machine learning program. This will include defining unit testing infrastructure to support a TDD software/firmware development, enable automated executing and reporting, and system level testing using popular ML frameworks such as PyTorch, CNTK, TensorFlow and others. You will work closely with development and architecture team to understand accelerator features and define test plans and solutions needed to deliver production grade software/firmware to the end customer.You will be collaborating with a variety of internal teams within CR&D as well as with Qualcomm’s commercial division (QCT) covering multiple engineering disciplines including: software, systems and hardware. The successful applicant should have a diverse skill set and a strong background in testing and automation strategies.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar discipline
3+ years’ experience architecting overall test strategy and feature test plans for complex software / hardware systems
3+ years’ experience testing complex hardware / software systems in server or embedded systems environments
Understanding of Linux-based software stacks and tooling
Ability to quickly understand new software features and develop system level and adversarial test cases
Detailed-oriented with strong debugging and analysis skills for characterizing complex issues
Excellent organizational and communication skills
Experience with Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins and code reviews tools like Gerritt
Experience with TDD development solutions like GoogleTest, CxxTest
Experience with Source Code and Configuration management tools; git knowledge is required
Good English communication (written and verbal) and positive interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Systems or similar discipline
Understanding of machine learning concepts and neural network architectures; experience with machine learning software stacks also a plus
Understanding of embedded SOC architecture;
Experience with Linux servers and datacenter deployments
Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch, CNTK, Tensorflow, etc.
Experience with C/C++ programming and scripting languages, including Python
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Frequently transports between offices, buildings and campuses up to ½ mile.
Frequently transports and install equipment up to 5 lbs.
Performs required tasks at various heights (e.g. standing or sitting).
Monitors and utilizes computers and test equipment for more than 6 hours a day.
Continuous communication which includes the comprehension of information with colleagues, customers and vendors both in person and remotely.

2+ years experience with one or more programming language suitable for machine learning (e.g., Python, R, C, C++). ,1+ years of experience with low level interactions between operating systems (e.g., Linux, Android, QNX) and Hardware ,2+ years experience using statistics and probability (e.g., conditional probability, Bayes rule) ,2+ years experience in embedded system development and optimization with application to a specific problem domain in ML (e.g., NLP, multi-media). ,2+ years experience with Machine Learning frameworks (e.g.,Tensor Flow, Caffe, Caffe 2, Pytorch, Keras) ,1+ years of work experience in a role requiring interaction with senior leadership (e.g., Director level and above). ,2+ years of experience working in a large matrixed organization.

$129,400.00 - $194,200.00
