The Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer based out of Boulder, CO.

What You'll get to Do:

A Systems Test Engineer performs technical planning, system integration, verification, and supportability and effectiveness analyses for total systems. Analyses are performed at all levels of total system product to include: concept, design, fabrication, test, installation, operation, maintenance and disposal. Ensures the logical and systematic conversion of customer or product requirements into total systems solutions that acknowledge technical, schedule, and cost constraints. Performs functional analysis, timeline analysis, detail trade studies, requirements allocation and interface definition studies to translate customer requirements into hardware and software specifications. Has strong communication skills, collaborating and reporting to customer stakeholders and management. Integrates and verifies requirements' success criteria are met.

The test engineer will be responsible for researching and identifying complex, multi-disciplinary problems, breaking into components, and performing performance analysis on algorithm solutions for a broad range of sensor exploitation activities. The test engineer must have a working knowledge of space sensors, with respect to focal plane resolution, sensitivity, and line of sight considerations for the purpose of tracking. Existing general knowledge of visible or IR focal planes and other sensor systems engineering experience is desirable. The test engineer must have basic knowledge of Unix/Linux commands.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Basic Qualifications for a level 3:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 5+ years of Systems Engineering experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance

  • Experience working with Linux/Unix computing systems

Basic Qualifications for a level 4:

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM discipline and 9+ years of Systems Engineering experience

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance

  • Experience working with Linux/Unix computing systems

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

  • M.S. degree in a technical discipline

  • Active Top Secret SCI security clearance

  • Knowledge of SBIRS Operations and its mission

  • Experience working with Matlab, C++, and Perl
