Rocky Mountain Institute Web Development Associate in Boulder, Colorado

Rocky Mountain Institute (RMI) is seeking a Web Associate to join ourMarketing and Communications team. This hire will work with our Web Manager,Marketing Operations Manager, design team, and external vendors to supportRMI's web needs. They will work closely with Program Marketers to understandprogram goals, requirements, and constraints and help deliver web productsand services to efficiently increase RMI's scale and impact.The ideal candidate is a self-motivated, detail-oriented problem solver withexcellent customer service skills and the ability to multitask under pressure.The ability to work in a fast-paced environment within tight deadlines isrequired. A strong desire to make a difference in accelerating renewableenergy and responding to the urgent climate crisis is preferred.Key ResponsibilitiesAdd and update content via a CMS (mostly custom WordPress themes) forRMI's several web propertiesCreate and maintain documentation for all CMS workflowsWork with internal clients to collect requirements and communicate statusProvide as needed support to internal clients and Web Manger during theplanning, discovery, design, development, launch, andmaintenance phases of a new websites and featuresTrain internal clients how to perform certain CMS tasks and related webtasksUpdate and test plugins and third-party librariesTest and QA new sites and featuresMonitor, assess, and continually improve RMI's web propertiesContinually improve web-related workflows and processesAssist with overseeing design and development vendorsCollect and provide relevant web analytics to monitor for bugs andopportunities to improve user-experience and to provide stakeholders withvaluable data and insightsWork closely with the Web Manager to ensure that final products adhere topredetermined budgets, scope, and specsStay plugged into emerging technologies/industry trends and apply theminto operations and activitiesSupport our design, social media, and email marketing teams as neededwith technical support and troubleshootingProvide customer service and website CMS technical support to each of ourprograms on an as-needed basisMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree1+ years of relevant web experience, which must include significantWordPress CMS administration of multiple web properties and work with theWordPress admin and plugin ecosystemBasic proficiency with HTML and CSSPreferred QualificationsExperience working for a creative agencyExperience administering and maintaining multiple websitesExperience with a range of WordPress themes and pluginsExperience working with different hosting environments and making simpleDNS edits/updatesExperience with WordPress child theme or custom theme development (notrequired but ideal)Additional QualificationsDesire to continuously learn new skillsExcellent customer serviceBasic to intermediate experience with SEO audits and strategyGoogle Analytics and Google Tag ManagerExperience with Salesforce and Pardot website integrationsExperience with design tools (Adobe Suite, Sketch, Figma),experience working closely with a design team, and a strong designliteracAbility to multitask with strict time constraints, budgets and businessgoalsStrong communication skillsAn intense drive for results and impactPassion to change the way we use energy and tackle climate change Location:This position will remain remote through the COVID-19 pandemic. This will be discussed further throughout the interview process.Compensation:The salary range for this position is $49,600-$64,500.
