Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product.

Manage the development and implementation process of a specific company product involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. Plan and direct schedules and monitor budget/spending. Monitor the project from initiation through delivery. Organize the interdepartmental activities ensuring completion of the project/product on schedule and within budget constraints. Assign and monitor work of systems analysis and program staff, providing technical support and direction.

Work is non-routine and very complex, involving the application of advanced technical/business skills in area of specialization. Leading contributor individually and as a team member, providing direction and mentoring to others. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. Seven years of project management, product design or related experience preferred.

About the Role:

As an Engineering program manager, you will own and drive initiatives across the organization that is focused on next-generation work. You will be part of a high profile, Agile team that works across Oracle to solve complex problems. We partner primarily with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure and SaaS Product teams. We have a mindset of /accountability/ even when it’s not our /responsibility/.

Responsibilities:

  • Apply project management discipline to define scope, develop plans, document requirements and prioritize cross-functional projects

  • Be well versed in project management fundamentals such as sprints, schedules, scope, backlog, and risk/issue management

  • Track and drive the activities of project teams to ensure quality and timeliness of execution

  • Demonstrate flexibility and resilience in response to changing or ambiguous situations, directing changes through appropriate review and approval mechanisms

  • Tactically handle internal escalations among project teams and horizontals

  • Provide leadership within the project team with the intent of developing strategies and technical solutions of high business value

  • Build and foster cross-team relationships

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or higher, or equivalent experience relevant to functional area

  • 5 years of project/program experience

  • Experience with Scrum, Lean and other agile practices and methodologies

  • Successful collaboration skills and tools that focus on earning trust with distributed teams

  • Solid organizational skills, attention to detail, and multitasking capabilities

  • Solid communication skills: written, verbal, presentations

  • Self-driven, analytical, and results-oriented with proven sound judgment

  • Experience managing software and/or hardware development
