Job Title:Provisioning Technician - Broomfield, COJob Description:Job Title: Provisioning Technician location: Broom field, CO Duration: 12 months Provisioning Technician is dedicated to Internet Access / VPN and IPproducts. The tech is responsible for providing "one call resolution" to customerreported installations. The tech works with customers, local carriers, transport repairorganizations as well as other work groups. Excellent customer service, a positive attitude, leadership and a strongtechnical aptitude are required for this position. Respond to customer requested IP address, routing, troubleshooting andcoordination for various hours of activation requests. Perform trouble isolation for customers during the initial activation. Perform trouble isolation for customers during the initial activation. Engage other technical assistance teams to assist with trouble resolution andactivation of circuits. Understand BGP, EBGP, OSPF, MPLS, static routing, and have a basicunderstanding of LAN and WAN technology. Works with software and hardware tools to remotely identify and diagnose WANproblems. Resolves complex network problems involving power, network hardware,routers, CSU/DSU, carrier services. Has ability to understand and isolate physical layer problems. Appliesexcellent customer service. Understand and apply standard trouble shooting techniques. Demonstrate proficiency with trouble ticketing application as well as otherinternal tools. Ability to work off hours. Associate degree or 1+ year of related workexperience. Knowledge of TCP / IP. Knowledge of routing protocols. Knowledge of VPN principles. Experience withbasic commands in Cisco, Juniper and Adtran routers. Understanding of DNS. 1+ year of technical experience on a Adtran,Juniper or Cisco routers. CCNA/CCNP preferred. Hours may vary depending on the needs of the business.2-4 years of experience. 4-6 years of experience Job Description Essential Duties: Analyzes and develops solution for failures and outages and coordinatesthe repair efforts of networking Performs both internal and external escalations on all hardware andsoftware failures and all data related outages. Maintains and supports IP infrastructure. Update all systems anddatabases with careful attention to detail. Maintains a commitment to safe practices and holds others equallyaccountable. Processes new activations, disconnects, coordinate and perform lowercomplexity migrations with some oversight. Remains current on the latest data network technology through completionof required/recommended training and reading material. Operate in multiple systems and databases as required. Knowledge, Skills or Abilities: Ability to work flexible hours as needed Ability to work in a team environment and communicate with customers in aprofessional manner. Fundamental knowledge of OSI model, working knowledge of IP Classless Inter-Domain Routing (CIDR) Fundamental knowledge of Routing Protocols and Hardware Platforms toinclude BGP, OSPF, TCP/IP, IP Routing, Cisco Layer 2 and 3 Hardware and Software plus Cisco IOS, ATM, Frame-Relayand Juniper Layer 2 and 3 Hardware and Software plus Juno OS, DNS, Radius, UNIX Exposure to Network Design (LAN, WAN and ISP) and Troubleshooting Fundamental knowledge of all Ethernet Topologies. Basic Qualifications: Associates Degree, or up to 2 years of relevant job experience.
