The Vail Resorts Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value.  We are creating a new fully centralized Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team in our corporate headquarters near Boulder, Colorado, to support a growing company of 37 resorts across Australia, Canada and the United States, 55,000+ employees, and a market capitalization of over $10 billion. The Senior Analyst of Central Reporting will be a member of a newly created team that will focus on utilizing new technology investments to improve reporting, data governance and process management within FP&A. S/he will play a critical role in developing and maintaining reports used to drive improvements and optimize Enterprise and Divisional FP&A.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Enterprise and Divisional FP&A teams in development of: (i) best-in-class reporting capabilities for enterprise and line-of-business reporting, (ii) automated dashboards for key performance indicators, and (iii) daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly reporting to support C-Level executives, senior leadership teams, and Board of Director (BOD) presentations

  • Understand complex financial systems, data and infrastructure to operationalize and help govern the Company’s enterprise reporting library ensuring high data integrity, reporting quality, and timeliness.

  • Build strong operating governance, processes, tools, reports, and relationships to enable quick and proactive response times in a collaborative manner that contribute to the team’s high-performance culture.

  • Support communications to key stakeholders regarding key deliverables and timelines for critical enterprise-wide processes that ensure alignment and clarity of specific objectives supporting CFO, EC, COO, and SLT decision-making.

  • Assist with developing best-in-class process and report design, governance and communications for enterprise reporting, along with management and execution of any change requests from key stakeholder groups.

  • Partner with Enterprise and Divisional FP&A teams to drive process improvement and timely and accurate reporting and analytics.

Support execution of:

  • Prioritized reporting development and design focused on insights around major business drivers.

  • Process management to collaborate with key FP&A partners regarding key reports and dashboards to meet timelines for critical deliverables (e.g., daily, monthly, quarterly reporting).

Job Requirements:

Required:

  • 4+ years’ experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in Finance, Financial Reporting and/or Accounting.

  • Experience in report design architecture, with emphasis on user perspectives focused on key data that can be digested in a compelling way by decision makers utilizing industry standard Financial systems like Host Analytics or other similar reporting and planning tools.

  • Demonstrated aptitude and success in financial reporting, data management, process management, and use/development of financial reporting systems to drive efficiency.

  • Experience supporting and coordinating aspects of FP&A processes, including report scoping, building, testing, and implementation, along with template creation in support of the annual operating budgets, capital budgets, and long-term strategic plans.

Preferred:

  • Expert in Excel, PowerPoint and industry standard financial systems (i.e., reporting and planning tools like PeopleSoft, Planful, Tableau, etc.)

  • Connects well with others and effectively works in a highly collaborative team setting, while adapting to fast paced environment.

  • Ability to multi-task, manage numerous simultaneous priorities and demonstrate outstanding problem-solving skills.

  • High energy with the ability to work both independently and with superior business partnering skills.

  • Ability to balance a strong attention to detail with seeing the “big picture.”

The budgeted range starts at $68,100 - $81,700 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
