Job Summary:
The Finance Team is committed to Building Leaders and Driving Value. The Finance team drives comprehensive financial planning, forecasting, and analysis to enable the Company to align its resources with the achievement of its strategic goals, both long-term and short-term. The Corporate Finance team works closely with the CFO and other C-suite executives of the Company to ensure integrity of data governance and management practices, drive business insights, and support strategic decision making. Specifically, this role will report to the Senior Director of Finance – SG&A and provide finance / business support to the Vice President of Resort Reservations Vail.
Job Responsibilities:
Business Partnering
Provide critical business support to key cross-funtional leadership teams to inform decision making and strategic direction
This will be a key role within the Finance SG&A team internally, providing reporting and insights that serve all members of the team as well as their C-suite level business partners
Partner with other Finance teams such as Corporate Finance and Accounting to drive business insights and process efficiencies and ensure alignment across teams
Participate in Monthly Business Review and present to Senior Leadership Team
Strategic Analysis
Develop innovative and impactful analyses, tools, processes and procedures to facilitate and monitor business performance
This role will serve as a technical data thought leader within the team, providing the team with strong data querying and manipulation capabilities with a lens on driving business insights
Analytical problem solver, geared towards solving for sustainable process improvements and continuous improvement. Comfortable with advanced data methods through use of tools like VBA, SQL, Python, Alteryx, and report writing applications.
Budgeting / Forecasting / Financial Close
Work with cross-functional leadership teams to develop comprehensive annual operating and capital budgets
Conduct post-mortem analysis on capital investments to assess profitabilityDevelop monthly P&L variance review and updated forecast for all call centers
Produce KPI dashboard and reporting capabilities that drive actionable business insights
Partner with accounting team to support accurate & timely execution of monthly financial close
Lead the monthly forecast meetings with leadership teams, providing trend analyses, forecast recommendations and assessment of risks and opportunities
Job Requirements:
4+ years of experience (or 1-2 years with MBA or other graduate degree) in finance or accounting
Bachelor’s Degree required (MBA preferred), preferably in Finance, Accounting or a related field
Experience in financial planning and analysis functions, including annual budget, capital budgeting, long-term strategic planning and resource allocation processes
Proficiency in at least one of the following strongly preferred: VBA, SQL, Python, Alteryx
This role will require up to 25% travel

The budgeted range starts at $68,100 - $81,700 + annual bonus. Actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.
