Job Summary

Vail Resorts seeks a Senior Product Marketing Manager (PMM) who is passionate about eCommerce and can build a new digital product marketing function from the ground up. As the Sr. PMM on the Digital Experience team, you will be responsible for the vision, strategy, planning, execution and reporting for how we use Vail’s web platforms to drive demand for Epic Pass and lift ticket products. You will partner closely with business units and relationship marketing teams to define and manage a comprehensive go-to-market strategy, including positioning, audience targeting, campaign execution and metrics ownership.

We are looking for a digital thought leader that has a strong grasp on best-in-class user-experience principles to inform a cohesive landing page strategy. You should be fluent in the use of data, with a deep understanding of the eCommerce conversion funnel and marketing spend efficiency metrics. You would be the first person on the team with a dedicated product marketing focus, so will be expected to establish and lead this new function. Over time, there may be an opportunity to hire a team of PMMs and grow the focus of the team. Job Responsibilities

  • Strategic Ownership – With key stakeholders, develop a cohesive go-to-market strategy across out-bound and digital channels that increases the efficiency of marketing campaigns.

  • Analysis and insights - Define and monitor KPIs and report on success to stakeholders. Identify optimization opportunities to continuously improve functionality and drive growth strategies.

  • Development and execution - Orchestrate internal resources across design, product, digital operations, and engineering teams to define and execute the ideal landing page and conversion experience.

  • Collaboration – Work closely to gain alignment with cross-functional stakeholders, leveraging data and personal credibility to influence the outcome.

  • Communication – Present regularly to business leaders to ensure alignment to strategies and awareness of progress to goals.

  • Market intelligence and guest insights– Keep a pulse on market and industry trends. Monitor and report on qualitative as well as quantitative insights on the guest needs, noting points of improvement. Be the expert on your guests, how they engage and their usage behavior; be the expert on your competition and drive innovative ideas in the ski and broader travel industry. Bring audience insights and empathy to product and go-to-market discussions.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Minimum 5 years product or product marketing experience delivering highly successful user engagement strategies, with experience communicating to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Strong leadership – naturally collaborative, courageous, and thrives in ambiguity. Must be a change agent and is motivated by always challenging the status quo.

  • Able to communicate the essence of a product and the value it creates.

  • Data-driven mindset and ability to speak fluently in the language of performance marketing and conversion funnel optimization

  • Familiarity with user experience principles within eCommerce and experience with landing pages as a tool to drive conversion

  • A deep sense of guest empathy and an ability to take targeted approaches to reach distinct audiences

  • Collaborative approach – ability to operate in a highly cross-functional environment and influence others to align around a shared strategy

  • Willingness to roll up your sleeves and tackle something hands-on.

  • A passion for delivering an exceptional guest experience through new technologies.

  • Four-year college degree required

Preferred:

  • Degree with emphasis in marketing, business
