The VP of Network planning Voice & IP is responsible for the broader network planning and implementation of capacity & lifecycle management. Ownership is across multiple, cross regional network platforms and includes leased and owned assets. The role requires a significant technology understanding in Voice Networking, IP and Data/Ethernet. As well as a strong knowledge around statistics, logic in data management for tools, systems, and analytics, including Robotic process automation. Day to day responsibility includes management of $1B in capital budget used to expand and maintain the networks to include health, stability, and equipment lifecycle programs. Additional ownership includes the creation, communication, & execution of a long-term strategic vision for all networks across the region. The plan will ensure scale for growing revenue, simplify the network and maximize ROI all investments.
The Main Responsibilities
Manage an organization that is responsible for profitably delivering capacity in support of customer revenue in a timely manner
Evaluate weekly/monthly key metrics around capacity trends and rates of change, to ensure the right amount of network capacity is available to serve customer traffic
Creation of a data road map that delivers linkage, across key data elements, that drives statistical modeling and linkage across the entire business. Delivering one corporate vision, automation and efficiency gains.
Develop long term network simplification plans based around product/network profitability and long-term customer trends and future needs
Business case and investment thesis to drive investments that help drive revenue and cash flow across multiple areas of the business
Network health and equipment lifecycle planning in support of positive customer experience
Budget planning, forecasting and management of actuals for capital investments, operating and network expense
Overall evaluation of network architectures and cost structures, to simplify delivery and the creation of the most cost effective solution to drive revenue and cash flow
Long term Human capital plan to drive organizational talent, training, reskilling and change management
What We Look For in a Candidate
8 -10 years’ experience in Business, technologies and architectures, engineering and operations with a strong background in statistics and analytics
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Math, Statistics, Telecommunications, Business or related fields
Successful experience of process improvement and LEAN to drive continuous improvement, efficiency and thru put improvement
Experience in successfully managing large scale investment programs
