You will build trusted technical relationships with customers, workinghand in hand with developers to implement standard methodologies andimprovements to customer-owned application software and API-powered workflows.Consultancy is provided through all stages of the customer development cycleand where appropriate and may include development of customer solutions toachieve business goals. API Engineers represent a source of domain expertizeacross all API products and services, covering all aspects of searching,booking, ticketing and servicing of airline, hotel and car rental products.WHAT WILL YOUR DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES BE? YOU WILL BE INVOLVED WITH... * Performing discovery and implementation activities for key Customersand prospects as part of a larger Travelport team, with representatives fromthe different lines of business (Commercial, Development,Architecture, Professional Services and others) following the structure ofour Implementation Playbook. * Pre-sales consultancy for API and travel agency applicationdevelopment. * Post-sales tactical development, implementation and testing supportfor customers building API-powered booking engines and applications. * Documentation of solution gaps and product requirements for evaluationby central Product Management and Development teams. * Consultancy through high priority re-contract and retention activities. * Responsible for reference implementation for all customer-facingAPIs. This includes creation and maintenance of customer-facing developertools for customer self-service. * May work directly on implementation of API features with the deliveryteams as well as perform internal user acceptance testing (acting as thecustomer proxy). * Creating open source code samples in multiple languages i.e. .Net,JAVA, Node.js. * Creating and maintaining how-to technical guides for customer sengineering teams including initial package and setup instructions. * Planning and executing regular engagement with existing key customersto maintain and enhance relationships; making dedicated use of currentTravelport customer data to offer technical consultancy, product and projectsolutions. * Demonstrating a broad range of technical product and API knowledge toassist and guide our customers to realize maximum value from Travelport scontent, products and services. * Providing technical recommendations to customer-owned applications andworkflows for maximum efficiency and best in class performance, includingbut not limited to 3rd party solution integration. * Building technical account plans, highlighting opportunities forimprovements and agreed actions and next steps to realize full potential. * Providing technical requirements and solution context to our centralProduct Definition and Technology Delivery teams for global implementation. * Aligning with Travelport coding standards and follow best practicesthat are focused on cost efficiency, error reduction and optimal productivity. * Ensuring that applications built by assigned customers meet or exceedthese standards at all times. * Offering the highest levels of customer service to our most valuedpartners, supplying clear communication and flawless d
