LinQuest Configuration Management Specialist in Colorado Springs, Colorado

DescriptionLinQuest Corporation is searching for a Configuration Management Specialist towork on the mission systems engineering and integration (MSE.and.I) contractin support of the Space Development Agency (SDA). The role of the MSE.and.IContractor is to provide the infrastructure and effort required, under theTranche 0 Program Office direction, to ensure that the Tranche 0 Tracking,Transport, and Ground Segments operate in unison to support Warfightermission scenarios and experiments.SDA is responsible for defining and monitoring the DoD's futurethreat-driven space architecture and accelerating the development and fieldingof new military space capabilities necessary to ensure our technological andmilitary advantage in space for national defense.The position is full time and work location is flexible among theselocations: Chantilly, VA; Colorado Springs, CO; Huntsville, AL;Los Angeles, CA. An active DoD SECRET clearance. You will work as part ofgeographically distributed, networked team.Duties and responsibilities of the position include:Establish a formal (baseline management) process for capturing thebaseline and managing changes and distribution. Employ this process toidentify, control, maintain, make recommendations to evolve, andexecute changes, upon approval, to technical baselines;Use change management software to mitigate the risk of unauthorized andunplanned changes to the technical baseline, including document content andthe associated links;Provide user access to all databases used to manage the Tranche 0 technicalbaseline whether hosted on MSE.and.I Contractorowned or Governmentowned servers;Analyze proposals, changes, and modifications to the current architecture(includes space and ground segments) to determine the impact on technicalbaselines, schedules, and other realted activities.Maintain interface control for all ICDs/ISs that involve interaction betweensegments, contractors, or external agencies.Organize, facilitate and provide agendas, briefings and minutes for allTranche 0 and segment level CMrelated boards, forums and working groupsDevelop, update and maintain Configuration Management and Data ManagementPlans.Manage, track contract CDRLs and DAL deliverables.Required Skills:Configuration management/technical baseline management in DoD space systemprograms, including ground systemsAbility to multi-task, prioritize tasks, and quickly adjust in a rapidlychanging environment.Strong interpersonal and collaboration skillsClear and concise written, verbal communications and presentation skillsCandidate must be a self-starter with the ability to work effectivelyindependently and in team settings to include close collaboration with teammembersAbility to coordinate with numerous stakeholders/customers from DoD agenciesto commercial industryKnowledgeable in the use and application of MS Office suite - specificallypowerpoint, word and excelPreferred Skills:Detail oriented and the ability to organize, prioritize and address multiprogram schedules simultaneouslyAbility to learn and adapt to the use of new tools that may be used in futureSDA and MSE.and.I activitiesRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree5+ years of relevant experience in Configuration Management (CM)Work with FFRDC personnel (e.g., Aerospace Corporation)US Citizenship and an active DoD SECRET clearance, with the ability toobtain a TS/SCI clearance, is required to be considered for this position Preferred Experience:Experience with recommending and implementing CM best practicesHands on experience administering DoD Acquisition ManagementKnowledge of EIA-649-1, MIL-STD-973...
