Title: Configuration Manager Job Code: SYG S3 ECP, Position 9 Location: Peterson AFB and Schriever AFB, CO Odyssey Systems has an exciting new opportunity for a Senior,Configuration Manager to perform configuration and data management tasks insupport of the the Space Superiority Systems Directorate, Space and MissileCenter, Ground Based Surveillance Division (SMC/SYG), which executessustainment program management, sustaining engineering, maintenance andsupply support, and small modification execution for SSA ground sensors. Primary Function(s): SMC/SYG executes sustainment program management, sustainingengineering, maintenance and supply support, and small modificationexecution for Space Situational Awareness (SSA) ground sensors. Thesesensors provide timely and accurate metric and space object identification(SOI) data on near Earth and Deep-Space (DS) objects. These sensorsalso provide data for SSA catalog maintenance and support for special events(e.g. space launches, satellite breakups, and maneuvers). The Divisionalso supports SSA Command and Control capabilities. Job Responsibilities: Duties include, but not limited to: * Work efficiently and effectively with SMC/SYG's prime sustainmentcontractor (currently Harris Corp, transitioning to new contractor in2019) to ensure the Government controlled technical baselines are maintainedand controlled in the ARAS Innovator(R) tool while minimizing any impactto sustainment contractor operations * Provide relevant submissions, revisions, and reviews forconfiguration control and data management to ensure compliance with currentpolicies and regulations * Maintain configuration control, configuration status accounting,and configuration identification of the systems hardware, software, andfirmware configurations * Facilitate management and planning through the working relationshipsestablished with interfacing activities such as Government ProgramManagement, Engineering and Logistics, Contractor Configuration Managementand Defense Contract Management Command (DCMC) * Coordinate resources and facilities assigned to the ConfigurationManagement (CM) function, to include such resources as automatedtools, connectivity to a shared data environment, and other infrastructureelements. * Facilitate Integrated Product and Process Development and the use ofIPT by the Government and Contractor. * Facilitate the interaction and communications between all partiesinvolved in a common CM process.
