The Cyber team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Cybersecurity Engineer based out of Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
This position is responsible for the development and sustainment of IA Releases, Cyber TPs and C2BMC/TSS builds in the NT labs. Tasks include: installing, deploying, and unit testing security patches for applicable COTS software applications; Group Policy; STIG configurations; hardening of Operating Systems (both Windows and Linux); Cyber Products (e.g., HBSS, ACAS, ArcSight, TFA, BigFix, Endgame, KMS, etc.). Providing redlines to COS engineers and feedback to Cyber Leadership will be required as part of the Cybersecurity Specialist's responsibilities. Documenting lessons learned, best security engineering practices, and industry standards will be required in daily tasks as well. Working with all Cyber teams and other Functional Areas in accomplishing 3-week sprints for Agile.
Travel is required between Huntsville and Colorado Springs to support meetings and work with distributed functional personnel. Travel may be necessary for operational sites as well.

You'll Bring These Skills:
Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline with five or more years of experience. Equivalent years of experience may be substituted for degree.
Active Secret clearance to start
DoDI 8570 certification (e.g., GSEC, Security+, SCNP, SSCP).
Must have working knowledge of implementing DISA STIGs and GPOs.
Experience with system development lifecycle utilizing Risk Management Framework (RMF)
Excellent interpersonal skills are required with a demonstrated ability to support complex organizational relationships.
Excellent technical document preparation skills and verbal communications are required for presentation of technical Information Assurance issues and reports to senior government and military officials.
The position requires the following cybersecurity skills: technical trouble shooting of software applications and integrating COTS products, data analytics of system vulnerabilities & mission impacts, and risk mitigation resulting in system accreditation.
Strong knowledge of Information Assurance (IA) technology and DoD information assurance system certification.
Requires hands-on experience utilizing patch management, scanning & auditing, security event monitoring, host-based security and multi-factor tools in an integrated lab environment.
