DevOps Cybersecurity Analyst
The Challenge:Everyone knows security needs to be “baked in” to a system architecture, but you actually know how to bake it in. You can identify and implement ways to harden systems and reduce their attack surface. What if you could use your cyber skills to design and build secure systems for the Department of Defense (DoD)? We’re looking for a DevOps focused cybersecurity expert who can create solutions for the DoD that will stand up to even the most advanced cyber threats.
As a cyber operations analyst on our project, you’ll work on a team that thinks outside of the box to document, implement, and accredit cybersecurity infrastructure? Our team is leading cutting-edge software and platform deployments across multiple DoD environments. We are spearheading cybersecurity concepts by using Agile and DevOps processes to quickly deploy software applications in cloud and On-premise environments. You’ll interface with software development teams as the cybersecurity expert on technologies and domains to align solutions with client business needs and create innovative approaches to address client requirements. You’ll be pivotal in the engineering, integration, and sustainment of the infrastructure, hardware, and tools required to support DevOps.
This is a chance to make a difference in the security of the warfighter. Your technical expertise will be vital as you help customers overcome their most difficult challenges by supporting cybersecurity efforts for government clients in a fast-paced, demanding environment, review and critique assessment and authorization (A&A) documentation for compliance with DoD cybersecurity policy and agency guidance, including DoD 8500 series, CNSS 1253, and NIST special publications, assess program security compliance, support program briefs, and coordinate and compile program security documentation for various programs, provide A&A and cybersecurity support, including Risk Management Framework (RMF) for DoD IT, assessing compliance with security technical implementation guides (STIGs), reviewing automated scans, security test and evaluations (ST&E), vulnerability assessments, and computer security responses, and creating and managing RMF packages using eMASS or XACTA.
Empower change with us.
Experience with domain structures, user authentication, and digital signatures
Experience with cybersecurity policy, including for the Air Force or DoD
Knowledge of Assessment and Authorization practices and the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process, including various security tools, such as the Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) and Host-Based Security System (HBSS)
Knowledge of data security administration principles, methods, and techniques
Ability to work autonomously and in a team environment
Ability to be flexible, show initiative and innovation, and deal with ambiguous and dynamic situations, assess information critically, communicate priority findings to teams, and manage client and team relationships successfully
Ability to be a self-starter, manage competing priorities, multi-task, and continue to meet all deadlines while remaining flexible with continually changing priorities
