Summary: ManTech is seeking a DevOps Engineer to support, engineer, and lead architecture development efforts, especially as it relates to platform build management. A successful candidate will have engineering experience with DevOps tools and common procedures (including CI/CD and build management), ensuring that application/systems, data, and platform technology aspects of the architecture are driven by the business imperatives of the organization.
The individual is expected to cover a significant subset of the following capabilities and skills:
5+ years of experience overall systems engineering experience
Including 3+ years Linux Administration/engineering experience
Expertise and Experience with the following technologies:
Red Hat Open Shift/Kubernetes/Docker
Scripting: BASH/Shell, Python or Perl.
Ansible, Chef or Puppet
Software Defined Storage (SDS) and Software Defined Networks (SDN)
Experience Architecting solutions based on defined requirements, ability to discern requirements from customer review
Strong knowledge of design and architectural patterns.
Experience in architecture development utilizing containers (Docker) among applications and components and application interfaces/interoperability.
Must be a strong team player with solid interpersonal skills.
Experience with Red Hat Satellite.
Familiarization with GIT.
CI/CD Pipelines with Jenkins or Gitlab.
Experience with VMware and spinning up VMs with automation.
Strong business analysis skills and experience, including development of business vision and strategies, functional decomposition, requirements capture, process modeling.
Awareness of systems management and operational support tools and security and/or infrastructure experience.
Experience supporting Application Development teams with deployment activities as needed.
Willing, able and eager to learn new technologies, methodologies, and procedures.
Identify new technologies and opportunities that may improve the functionality within the overall IT infrastructure.
Serve as a subject matter expert for architectural frameworks, methods, and tools; will act as coach to advise and assist varied business and technical staff with appropriate strategy and design disciplines.
Defines system platforms based on user/client needs, cost, and required integration with existing applications, systems, or other platforms.
Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure that systems support the organization's business requirements and meet the needs of end users.
Develop specifications, prototypes, and documentation.
Establish the basic structure of the system, define the essential core design features and elements that provide the framework for all that follows.
Provide the engineering view of the users' mission and vision, while providing realistic routes for improvements with fidelity to that vision.
Experienced in executing sound judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
Advise on and participate in governance boards to ensure that the overall architecture delivers the desired benefits to the organization.
Perform a variety of tasks and work under general supervision (other related duties).
