The Boeing Company DevSecOps Engineer – Space Command and Control in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS), Space Command and Control (SC2) program in Colorado Springs, CO is growing and seeking a mid-level DevSecOps Engineer to support the development of our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs.
The successful candidate will design, implement, and maintain a modern CI/CD system to build, test and deploy containerized microservices in a fast paced agile environment. We seek candidates who have proven skills in SRE, DevOps, software development, test automation, and system automation.
Technology areas these positions will be focused on are:
Agile product development
Continuous integration, testing, and delivery
Automated system testing, integration, and deployment
Rolling out upgrades to the software factory as needed
Work closely with developers, testers, and system engineers
from multiple product teams
Suggest modifications to the DevSecOps workflow to improve
Research and pitch new tools/products to the team
The DevSecOps Engineer will work alongside traditional infrastructure, middleware and application teams to enhance the existing support and delivery functions through development of ‘Infrastructure as Code’ and software packaging and deployment techniques. In addition, you will be working across multiple teams to enhance the user experience and delivery of a suite of custom applications, improving delivery and efficiencies in a strict Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) governed environment.

This position requires an active U.S. Secret Security Clearance (US Citizenship required), with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) Security Clearance (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
The position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
Active Secret security clearance or higher, with the ability to obtain a Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance (post-start)
Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry with 5+ years of experience with software development (or Master's degree +3 yrs / PhD)
Experience with Agile software development
Strong programming skills in Java, Python, and Go
Experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.)
Experience with automation and configuration management using either VMware, Puppet, Chef, or an equivalent
Experience of containerization orchestration with Kubernetes and Rancher
Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps
Experience setting up and maintaining a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or Bamboo
Experience with OpenStack cloud computing infrastructure tools such as VMWare or Red Hat
Experience developing dashboard views of Infrastructure estate
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Existing Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
Experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
Experience with Istio/ServiceMesh
Experience designing and implementing a full stack/Microservice CI/CD infrastructure
Strong working knowledge of the CI/CD process including debugging, test, and integration of software tools
Ability to set up and manage a tool-chain using tools such as Jenkins, Gradle, Maven, Artifactory, ELK, SonarQube, Jira, Prometheus, Fluentd, Helm, DataGrid, JBoss, Cloud Suite, OpenShift, Docker and more
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 5 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD, Master+3 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Colorado summary pay range: Min: 80,000 – Max: 133,000
