Job Description
Join us in supporting a tactical weapons system utilized by war fighters all over the globe. We are seeking a Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced development environment focused on fielding complex signal processing solutions. This individual must have a specialty in Digital Signal Processing (DSP), along with a strong software background to perform cutting-edge research and development on real-time signals and protocol processing systems. Ideal candidates will be located in Colorado Springs and will have an ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE.
Job Duties:
Uses Agile Continuous Development Process(es) to field new or improved DSP algorithms
Performs software development in Python/C++/C#
Prototypes in a Linux development environment
Analyzes and implements RF protocols
Implements realtime signal processing algorithms on Linux-based platforms
Analyzes customer needs and requirements
Analyzes and troubleshoots system performance
Provides direct support during deployment and general operations
Maintains close interaction with software development team
May provide input for documentation of new or existing programs
May provide work leadership for lower level employees
Job Requirements:
Bachelor's degree (Masters preferred) in computer science, information systems, engineering, or a STEM field, or equivalent experience
5 years of direct DSP experience is desired
ACTIVE TOP SECRET SECURITY CLEARANCE (SCI Desired)
Training in digital communications concepts and digital signal processing concepts
Experience with statistical signal processing (including time series and frequency domain/spectral analysis)
Realtime signal processing experience (such as sequential algorithms, Kalman filtering)
Experience with standard software engineering practices and programming development tools
Working knowledge DSP/SW tools (e.g. MATLAB, XMidas, CUDA)
Experience implementing signal processing algorithms on FPGA’s and GPU’s
Experience working with Unix/Linux operating systems
Preferred Experience:
Satellite Communications (SATCOM) experience
Software validation and/or testing experience
Platform architecture and operating system knowledge
