The Boeing Company Full Stack Software Engineer - Space Command and Control in Colorado Springs, Colorado
Boeing Defense, Space & Security (BDS) Space Command and Control (SC2) program in Colorado Springs, CO is growing and seeking an experienced mid-career Full Stack Software Engineer to support the development of our Nation’s newest systems to support Battle Management Command, Control, and Communications (BMC3) programs.
The Full Stack Software Engineer will be responsible for developing innovative technology in an agile environment with multiple long-term projects needing support. We seek candidates who have advanced skills in software development and want to bring their skills to the next level through mentoring and hands-on development which include requirements development, understanding design implementation and writing the code supporting actual satellite operations.
Position Responsibilities :
Product line leadership
Agile software development; to include Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD)
Spacecraft modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation
Data analytics and machine learning

Work Authorization :
This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S Security Clearance for which the US Government requires US Citizenship. An interim and/or final U.S. Secret Clearance Post Start is required.
(A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
The position is contingent on clearance verification and customer concurrence.
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience) :
Bachelor's, Master's or Doctorate of Science degree from an accredited course of study, in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry.
5 or more years of experience in leading Agile teams for software & systems engineering.
5 or more years of experience with modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation.
Experience working in an Agile Environment utilizing Atlassian Suite (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket, etc.) or similar tools/tools suite.
5 or more years of experience with software design, development, debugging, and performing software integration and test
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience) :
Agile Certifications (SAFe, CSM, etc.)
Product Owner Certification (SAFe POPM, PSPO, CSPO, etc.)
Experience delivering within a Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipeline
Experience with DevOps or DevSecOps
Experience with Spacecraft modeling and optimization algorithm design and implementation
Experience with data analytics and machine learning
Typical Education/Experience :
Typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, computer science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 9 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+4 years' related work experience, Master+7 years' related work experience). In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.
