Join our team and thrive in a career that matters to the worldand you personally.Responsibilities:Aerospace is seeking a skilled Ground Systems Engineer to sit in ColoradoSprings, Colorado. This individual will report to the Command, Control,and Communications (C3) Engineering and Operations Department(CEOD), which provides operationally-focused engineering solutions forspace enterprise C3 systems. CEOD efforts include providing systemsengineering support for missions and C2 system development; leading systemand software test planning and execution campaigns; supporting ground systemand architecture modernization efforts; providing software developmentexpertise; influencing future electronic warfare and satellitecommunications (SATCOM) investments; providing operational command andcontrol (C2) expertise for future systems; and, supporting traditionaland non-traditional customers to ensure C3 programs have adequate levels ofassuredness to maximize opportunities for operational success.This role will provide technical and programmatic support to Space and MissileSystem Center (SMC) program offices, US Space Force, and otherorganizations in the space enterprise. This support will influence futuremission and C2 prototypes/systems, guide system and software test planningand execution campaigns, develop and validate requirements, operate in anagile environment, and help modernize ground systems and architectures forthe space enterprise. The individual will support the government in acquiringand testing next-generation capabilities by providing programmaticoversight, technical/operational expertise, and acquisition guidance.The individual will work both independently and in teams as atechnical/operational authority, consultant, primary investigator, orproject leader. The individual will lead or organize technical efforts orproject teams, as required, and organize interfaces between spaceenterprise customers, mission partners, and Aerospace technical and managementKey Functions:Influence the development of future mission and C2 prototypes and systemsPlan system and software test campaigns; conduct tests; and, review testartifactsDevelop and validate requirements related to future ground C2 systemsHelp modernize ground systems and architectures for the space enterpriseActively participate in a range of technical and project engineeringactivities including, but not limited to, requirements development,software reviews (requirements, design, and implementation),software delivery (test, installation, checkout) and integrationWork across space mission and program boundaries to ensure common programchallenges and risks are identified, and appropriate teams are assembled toformulate recommendations to address challenges, risks, lessons learned,and engineering best practicesServe as a key technical contributor on space prototype/system readinessreview teams and provide impartial technical assessments to decisionauthoritieWork closely and effectively with external stakeholders in integrated productteams that include government, FFRDC, and contractor membersMaintain positive working relationships and customer satisfactionCommunicate effectively with all levels of Corporate management through timelyreporting of technical issuesQualifications:Required:Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in engineering, mathematics, ortechnical science from a recognized institutionStrong technical reputation and track record of technical achievement8 or more years' experience in satellite operations, ground systemsengineering, modernizing ground architectures, software test,verification, validation, and sustainment along with general systemsengineering and integratio
