Job Description The Video Engineer III is part of a team providing Audio Visual (AV), Video Teleconferencing and Video Surveillance System design, test and installation to US government customers worldwide. Provide leadership in engineering, planning, procuring, documenting and implementing systems in virtual and traditional IT architectures. Design, configure and implement control systems, AV distribution systems, surveillance systems and sound systems. Develop and implement design documentation, installation plans, support agreements, test and acceptance plans, and other documentation as required by customers. Evaluate, design, document, install, implement, test, perform problem isolation and resolution, monitors, tunes, sets standards and maintains a range of Audio/Video and Video Teleconferencing (VTC) components and systems.
Perform these functions per project requirements and equipment including: audio and video switchers, video display devices (projectors, TV Monitors, Plasma Monitors, Video Wall), H.320 multi-point control units, bridges, H.323 gateways, computer display interfaces, Internet Protocol devices and telecommunications transport facilities. Provide client consulting and training on control, interfaces, and use of the Audio/Video and VTC equipment. Research, evaluate, and recommend new Audio/Video and VTC equipment and technologies. Utilize monitoring, performance analysis, software and hardware equipment to trouble shoot and isolate problems, gauge performance, and record activity. Devise solutions to complex operation problems within the capacity and operational limitations of installed equipment. Perform a variety of tasks, may lead and direct the work of others. A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected. Typically report to a manager or head of a unit/department and work with little day-to-day direction.
Required Skills Current DoD Secret security clearance required
Bachelor’s Degree and 5-7 years of experience in the field OR Associates degree and 10+ years of experience in the field. Degree must be in in Computer Science, Math, Electrical Engineering, or Information Technology
Experience in designing and implementing large scale Video Surveillance systems including Closed Circuit Television (CCTV), Internet Protocol (IP) cameras, Video Management Software (VMS), network infrastructure and cabling.
May require after-hours work and travel.

Department Our services in the Defense business unit support all branches of the U.S. military and the intelligence community. Our teams provide a variety of support services related to the maintenance and life cycle sustainment of US Navy, US Coast Guard and Customs and Border Patrol fielded C5I systems.
