This position is an intern-level software engineer in the Multi-Domain Operations Directorate. Applicants will work on specific technical tasks as defined by senior engineers/program management to design and develop the next generation of C2 software for Department of Defense customers. Area of focus is application development using the Java and Web development using the Angular2 JavaScript framework thick and web client applications. High value is placed on a demonstrated ability to learn new domains and technologies quickly.

• At least two years of completed college coursework in Computer Science or a related technical degree

• Java development experience

• Windows and/or Linux experience

• Microsoft Office applications

• Strong problem-solving skills

• Good communication skills

• Experience in either Java or JavaScript programming

• Experience with JavaScript component libraries

• Experience with developing using Integrated Development Environments (IDE), such as Intellij, Eclipse, NetBeans, etc.

• Experience with HTML, CSS, and XML.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

Normal office setting, therefore the noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require standing and walking. Use of hands to operate computer equipment. Frequent near vision use for reading and computer use.
