ICF Consulting Group, Inc. Linux Systems Administrator / Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
ICF is seeking a Linux Systems Administrator/Engineer to perform IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations. Analyzes, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. At higher job levels, may contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set. Duration: 6-12 Month contract
Duties:
As a Linux Systems Administrator you will configure, integrate, and support internal network environments. The type of underlying components that support the infrastructure typically include Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
The Linux Systems Administrator performs IT functions such as design, analysis, evaluation, testing, debugging and implementation of applications programs supporting company business processes and operations. Analyzes, acquires, modifies and supports operating systems, database or utilities software. Plans, conducts and directs the analysis of business problems to be solved with automated systems. Analyzes, designs, acquires and implements projects for LAN and/or WAN systems. Plans, designs, acquires and implements telecommunications voice/wire systems. May contribute to the development, testing, evaluation or design of system or infrastructure architecture used throughout the IT solution set.
Key Responsibilities:
Contribute to the design of existing and future platforms
Effectively and efficiently troubleshoot the system and the infrastructure that supports it
Routinely interact with software developers and data teams
Provide input to develop performance/security management of the platform
Basic Qualifications:
2 or more years of experience working with systems administration on Linux, UNIX, ideally RHEL
2 or more years of experience as Cyber Security Analyst
2 or more years of experience and understanding with a SIEM product preferred ( Splunk or Elastic / Kibana )
2 or more years of experience with basic networking
DOD 8570 Compliant, or the ability to quickly obtain and maintain active security certifications: CEH, DFR, CySA+, GCIA, GCIH, GICSP, or SCYBER) and IAT II (CCNA, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Sec+, or SSCP
SCI Required
Preferred Skills/Experience:
BS or MS in IT
Certificates for Linux
SeLinux
Bash scripting
Familiarity with DoD/Army IT policies and regulations
Professional Skills:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Excellent problem-solving skills.
In accordance with the EPEWA (https://leg.colorado.gov/bills/sb19-085) , based on the qualifications and experience required, the annual salary range for this position is $81,477.00 - $109,954.00 per year.
