Focus on the Family Master Scheduler in Colorado Springs, Colorado

TheMaster Schedulerposition exists to manage day-to-day maintenance and accuracy of the organization’s Master Schedule, coordinating the timing of all Focus-approved initiatives. This position is responsible to be aware of the overall direction of all projects, their timelines, and must be able to strategically manage any changes that may unexpectedly arise in the course of time. Utilizes advanced skills in scheduling, identifying solutions to maintain progress across all departments. Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**

Establishes and maintains the organization’s project priority list and communicates list to every level of the organization when needed

Assures that resource capacity is being allocated in a way that expedites and accomplishes strategic initiative plans, goals and objectives and is in accordance ministry strategy prioritization and approved scheduling for representative quarters

Establishes ongoing communications regarding the master schedule, providing clear and concise status updates with business support teams, project managers, and project owners

Maintains regular, ongoing face-to-face communications regarding allocation and scheduling with all key influencers in each of the internal channels to prioritize and coordinate all established calendar goals and ultimately help to resolve any conflicts that may arise

Resolves scheduling conflicts/constraints that are the result of “unplanned” activities (e.g., breaking news/cultural events or executive overrides) that arise

Develops and maintains a “real time” ministry-wide Master Calendar of scheduled initiative launch, review, and communications for all internal channels that can be referenced by leadership, marketing, media, initiative owners and all other users

Forecasts and analyzes the Master Schedule to identify where departments and/or the organization is over capacity and unable to meet agreed upon timelines

Stays abreast of the people, processes and technologies involved in all of the above activities and proposes timely fixes when needed to ensure successful on time, on budget on quality delivery of initiatives

Takes leadership role in use of scheduling systems (i.e. Smartsheet, Excel, and other tools), helping departments utilize these resources when appropriate Other Duties/Responsibilities:**

No direct reports, but this position is heavy in people management skills

*Working Environment/Physical Requirements: *Fast-paced office environment with frequently changing priorities; Left-brain, Right-brain split between maintaining a large amount of data and maintaining relationships with an extended team of people across the ministry

Knowledge/Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Business-related major or equivalent experience; advanced degree a plus

5-7 years relevant business experience; Master Scheduling experience helpful

Thorough knowledge of entire creative and production process

Ability to operate PC, copy machine, fax machine, and calculator
