PeopleTec Mid-Level SATCOM Systems Analyst (#1640384) in Colorado Springs, Colorado

PeopleTec is currently seeking a Mid-Level SATCOM Systems Analyst to supportour Peterson AFB, CO location.The candidate will provide technical services to the Wideband ConsolidatedSATCOM System Expert (C-SSE), Operations and Plans Branch, US ArmySatellite Operations Brigade. Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM systems isnecessary and familiarity with the North American Treaty Organization(NATO) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Memorandum of Understanding(MOU) international agreement.Duties Include: Provide transmissions management and network management of Wideband SATCOMOperational Management System (WSOMS) and other MILSATCOM C2 programs Serve as technical consultant for transmissions management and control inthe Super High Frequency (SHF), Wideband Global SATCOM (WGS) functional area Develop/coordinate policy and plans for the WGS programs Develop definitive technical solutions that consider systemsarchitecture, interoperability, interfaces, protocols, networking,expansion potential and overall end-to-end compatibility Participate as consultant, advisor, or member in various DoD,Joint, and MILDEP planning and working groups Analyze, evaluate, and recommend solutions to future communicationsand automation operational challenges Use knowledge of satellite communications systems and their relationshipsto other telecommunications networks Provide technical and operational planning, system configuration andoperational mission support Responsible for the development, preparation and coordination ofwideband satellite communications and related information systems plansdefining concepts, programmatics, and system initiative Develop and provide input to the Army Planning, Programming,Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) Responsible for Management of C2 MILSATCOM network management programs Develop technical and management comments reflecting the command positionwith respect to Army and joint actions, interface with other command andhigher authority Review and comment of government documents resulting from theseevaluations include such factors as feasibility, technical adequacy,interoperability, and integration into current systems and future planning Provide lessons learned to Materiel Developer and Combat Developer, andhelps ensure MILSATCOM and related information systems employment adheres toArmy and USSPACECOM doctrine Assist in managing Wideband SATCOM ground segment for transition tocurrent/future satellites through concept, development, testing,procurement, production, and fielding Ensure that developmental tactical automation systems are interoperablewith and integrated into tactical communications equipment and are designed tomeet user requirements, overall military specifications, and budgetaryconstraints Work at senior level to define, integrate, and implement strategicdirection for Wideband programs having long-term effects Develop/present briefings to convey strategic vision or organizationalpolicies Recommend decisions and policies in planning for new Wideband SATCOMprogram requirementsRequired Skills/Experience: 10+ years of Department of Defense (DoD) SATCOM experience Travel: 25% Must be a U.S. Citizen An active DoD Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required toperform this work. Candidates are required to have an active Top Secretclearance with SCI eligibility upon hire, and the ability to maintain thislevel of clearance during their employment.Education Requirements:Bachelor's Degree in an Engineering discipline with 5+ years of experiencerequired. Associate's Degree with 10+ years of relevant work experiencemay be substituted in lieu of a degree.Desired Skills: Knowledge of Wideband SATCOM, preferably transmissions and payloadcontrol and mission planning experience Significant military familiarity and training in SATCOM Ability to demonstrate proficiency in SATCOM principles, technicalanalysis, and problem solving Proficient in Micro
