DescriptionTitle: Missile Event Analyst Subject Matter Expert (SME)Job Location: Peterson AFB (Colorado Springs, CO)Program: NCMC ITW/AA, Legacy Space: The NCMC-ITW/AA Branch sustainsunique ITW/AA Cheyenne Mountain systems, networks and associatedcomponents through an enterprise-wide set of integrated missioncapabilities, support services, and data products that provide militaryauthorities with accurate, timely, unambiguous and continuous warning andattack assessment of air, missile and space threats. The Legacy SpaceBranch sustains unique space C2 systems, networks and associated componentsthrough an enterprise-wide set of integrated mission capabilities, supportservices, and data products that provide space situational awareness,object trJob Responsibilities:Duties include, but not limited to:Lead/support any/all efforts to integrate non-traditional data sources(C2BMC and theater) into the CCIC2S Enterprise to display a more completeevent picture.Participate in DHWG as equal members on behalf of CCIC2S and could work withthe operational community and the program office teams to improve theorganization's knowledge about data, display harmonization, andstandardizing correlation across programs of record (PORs)Explore advance correlation/fusion for implementation into CCIC2S EnterpriseData analysis to enable ITW/AA system to keep up with emerging threatsHarmonizes data displayed to warfighter with other N2C2 systems; Improvefidelity and operator choices to support decluttering screens and displayingdata from additional sources.Ensures robust algorithm set from multiple sources available to growing groupof customersCharacterize emerging threats more precisely and provide continuous trackingto the warfighterComplete event analysis to include, but not limited to: parse messagecontents, model data, demo, and document resultsConduct comparative analysis of non-legacy message content vs existingtraditional content. (trade studies)Applying engineering knowledge missile warning and missile defense missiondata processing systems to author and/or decompose requirements and evaluatedeveloper solutions to ensure consistency with the enterprise architectureProvide analysis and software coding to include but not limited to: codingcorresponding algorithm changes, threat processing, augment current fanrepresentation, coding hooks to integrate additional new data sourcesDetermine how to display different pedigrees of data and how to filter thesource data.Improve fidelity and operator choices to support decluttering screens anddisplaying data from additional sourcesProvide synchronized Advisory and Assistance Service support for ITW/AA,TES, and Shared Early Warning System (SEWS) architectures and operationsSupport planning and integration efforts between Missile Warning (MW) andother mission areas, to include missile defense (MD), battlespaceawareness, and technical intelligenceProvide Global Threat Characterization and Assessment (GTCA) and spacesystems analysis to support the development and enhancements of missilewarning architectures.Minimum Qualifications:Must be a U.S. CitizenValid DoD Secret clearanceEducation/Experience: BS in a related field with 12 years of experience,5 years of which must be in the DoDHave the advanced knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to performtasks related to the technical/professional discipline as Subject MatterExpert EngineerHave a comprehensive understanding and ability to apply systems engineeringstandards, procedures and practicesAbility to work independently and apply the proper procedures and processesrelated to the area of expertiseAbility to problem solve and troubleshoot various situations to developsuccessful outcomes within established program/project guidelinesPreferred Qualifications:Active DoD...
