COLSA Corporation is seeking a Missile Warning/Missile Defense Operations Analyst to support Air Force Space Command, A3/6FS!

Job Summary: Conducts mission analysis on integrated Air Force space and ground-based missile warning/missile defense (MW/MD) systems. Makes operational support and employment recommendations based on combatant commander warfighter needs, current intelligence and budgetary realities. Provides analysis of the complex problems associated with the development of operational and employment strategies as they address threat reports, intelligence products, warfighter needs, capability gaps, COCOM perspectives, system operators and sustainment.

Assesses and reviews performance and functional requirements to evaluate operational utility, capability, resilience and affordability tradespace. Applies subject matter knowledge to support capability analysis, design, development, integration, documentation, Course of Action (COA) development, and operational implementation. Interfaces with Government Customer on a daily basis to ensure we provide products on-time and meet their expectations. Prepares and provides weekly and monthly input to the task lead for the monthly status report (MSR) to deliver to the customer.

Develops and assesses COAs and proposes solutions to incorporate integrated satellite and ground system operations and capabilities into existing MW/MD, BA and TI mission area systems and architectures. Cognizant of and provides input to incorporate cyber security, Defensive Cyber Operations (DCO), Cyber C2 and Cyber SA into MW/MD systems.

Works closely with AFSPC requirements community (AFSPC/A5F) to identify, coordinate, select and incorporate capability and technology enhancements into existing and future systems. Helps develop alternative warfighter capabilities and solutions to include manning options and solutions. Provides functional area support for operational document development. Supports High Performance Teams (HPTs), and AFSPC Corporate Process decision meetings. Helps resolve problems that require working knowledge of related technical subject matter to contribute to an effective end-to-end solution. Identifies integration, interoperability, compatibility, and collaboration shortfalls and solutions.

Accomplishes administrative requirements necessary to staff packages; responds to taskers; coordinates on or develops memoranda, point papers, briefings, charts, and spreadsheets other products as tasked by the Government Customer. Able to track and support activities required to enhance MW/MD capabilities.

Travel anticipated 1 - 2 times per year for 2-3 days each trip.

Required Experience

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience

  • 8 years’ work related experience or 5 years recent experience in military space operations, preferably in MW/MD

  • Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibility

  • Working knowledge of desktop applications including word processing, spreadsheet, and database programs

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience in space based missile warning preferred

  • 4+ years’ HQ AFSPC or space operations experience

  • Science & Technology, COA developmental, Operational Development, DCO and/or PPBE experience highly desired

  • Familiarity with Missile Warning / Missile Defense (MW/MD)
