Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) was selected by the U.S. Missile Defense Agency to participate on the Missile Defense National Team. This team was chartered to develop a Ballistic Missile Defense System for the United States. Missile Defense and Protective Systems (MDPS) serves as Northrop Grumman Mission Systems' focal point for all activities associated with missile defense, including Command, Control, Battle Management and Communications (C2BMC), simulation & modeling, systems engineering, and target discrimination.

We are seeking aBlue Sky - M&S SW Developer 4to help support the C2BMC program located in Colorado Springs, CO. Successful candidate will be responsible for developing software components of a large simulation system in a small team environment. Specific responsibilities include design, implementation, integration, and testing as well as support of the software development life cycle with peer reviews, documentation and configuration management adhering to the project level process plans.

Travel will be required to other C2BMC development sites.



Basic Qualifications:

  • Active Secret clearance

  • 9 Years with Bachelors in Science; 7 Years with Masters; 4 Years with PhD

  • Experience in full life cycle of software development

  • Experience using C++, JAVA, OOD, OOP, XML, and UML

  • Hands on development experience using OOD and OOP using C++/JAVA on a UNIX/Linux platform

  • Experience is developing Simulation documentation such as Descriptions, Requirements document, Plans and Assessment reports.

  • Experience in developing documents supporting simulation description and V&V required.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous C2BMC or MDA experience is a plus

  • Experience in developing missile defense simulations using executing state machines desired.

  • Ability to work independently and will possess the poise and flexibility required to work in a highly dynamic environment

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
