Blackstone Technology Group, an award winning technology consulting andstaffing firm is seeking a Network Analyst to join our team and work at ourclient site at Fort Belvoir.Network Engineer on the Network Operations Team for our client's programsupporting the Missile Defense Agency at National Capitol Region, FortBelvoir, VA. Primary duties include:Operations and maintenance of the MDA general service networkinfrastructure, primarily troubleshooting and managing configurations onnetwork routers, switches, military and network encryption technologies,and firewalls.Will perform network and firewall engineering, monitoring and administrationfunctions as required, provide initial analysis and troubleshooting onissues identified with network monitoring tools and provide troubleshootingsupport to end users on the network as well as other general networking tasks.Additional responsibilities include generate/provide status reports,provide network anomaly detection, analysis, troubleshooting, and repair.Additionally develop engineering documentation and redlines as needed tosupport network maintenance actions, engineering changes/upgrades, andsecurity vulnerability mitigation.No relocation assistance available. May work off hours or on call as required.Qualifications:High School Diploma plus 12 years of general experience or an Associate'sdegree and 10 years of general experience or a Bachelor's degree and 8 yearsof general experience.Requires 6 years of relevant experience in related field. Candidates must havecompleted Security+ certification and be enrolled in Continuing Education(CE) or other equivalent to meet DoD 8570.1-M requirements.Must have at least 6 years of applicable experience with Cisco routers,switches, and networking (LAN/WAN) technologies.Must have experience following documented engineering processes andprocedures.Must have a DoD Secret clearance with the ability to be granted a DoD TopSecret clearance.Cisco CCNA Certification.Able to multi-task in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Able to work well in a team environment, have good interpersonal skills,be a quick learner and have a positive, can-do attitude.Experience supporting VIP or Senior management and demonstrate excellentcustomer service skills is highly preferred.Experience with Network firewalls and KVM switches.Experience with TCP/IP, UDP Multicast, OSPF, and various WAN networkmediums, legacy network systems such as SONET, LightWave ATM, and TDMmultiplexer network timing systems.Experience in supporting environments for an "operational network", toinclude tech-control environments, crypto maintenance, COMSEC, orsystems administration.Proficient working with DISA, local and long-haul circuit vendors.Strong technical and hands-on experience in all of the following: variousprotocols for data transmission (RS-232, RS-530, T1, T3, ESF,D4, B8ZS, OC-3, OC-12, OC-48, OC-192), OSI (Open SystemsInterconnection) 7-layer model and the various facets of data transmissionbetween any two points in a network.DSX equipment panels and associated wiring Fiber optics cabling, connectorsand termination techniques, metallic cabling, connectors and terminationtechniques.Blackstone Staffing Services is a division of Blackstone Technology Group, aglobal IT services and solutions firm that implements digital transformationsolutions across commercial industry verticals and the US Federal Government.Blackstone's global staff augmentation practice was founded in 1998.Blackstone Staffing Services has offices in San Francisco, Denver,Houston, Colorado Springs, and Washington, DC.
