The AMERICA team at Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is looking for you to join our team as a Principal Software Engineer based out of Schriever AFB, in Colorado Springs, CO.
What You'll get to Do:
Northrop Grumman's Mission Systems Sector organization is seeking applicants for a position on a multi-year Independent Research and Development (IRAD) program.
This position is for an IRAD Software Engineer to support the software development efforts associated with radar modeling and simulation and radar software development:
Develop C++ software that will be part of state-of-the-art, large-scale radar systems.
Work on a cross-functional Agile team and participate in all phases of the software lifecycle, including analysis, design, coding, peer review, test, documentation, and integration.
Collaborate on feature development in groups of 2 3 people
Position requires U.S. Citizenship
Must have a DoD Secret security clearance or ability to obtain one
Position may require up to 10% travel

You'll Bring These Qualifications:
5 Years of experience with Bachelors in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) field; 3 Years of experience with Masters in STEM field
Have the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Security Clearance
Ability to develop C++ applications in a Linux environment
Experience utilizing model-based software design methodologies (SysML/UML)
Must have strong organizational skills to prioritize assigned work and meet deadlines
Must be detail-oriented with good written & verbal communication skills
Able to deliver successful results based on guidance from the Software Lead
These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:
DoD Secret Security Clearance
Experience with python, git, JIRA, Confluence, MATLAB, RedHat Enterprise Linux
Understanding of real-time systems development and performance considerations
Experience with the use of Agile Development Methodologies
Experience implementing software for GPGPU computing
Experience working with the Open Systems Architecture Signal Injector (OSI) software.
Experience working with Northrop Grumman's Scalable Node Architecture
Background in math and physics with a desire to work on mathematically demanding applications.
Familiarity with Missile Defense, Missile Warning and Space Situational Awareness missions.
Familiarity with Phased Array Radar technology
Experience interacting with Government Stakeholders
