Title: Program Manager II Location: Peterson Air Force Base (PAFB) Ballistic Missile Early Warning Systems / PAVE Phased Array WarningSystem (BMEWS/PAVE PAWS): The BPP Program Office supports and sustainsfive radars, across the North America and Europe, which provideearly-warning ballistic missile detection, acquisition, classification,and tracking of ballistic missile attack, 24-hours per day, 365 days peryear. The radars are also capable of detecting, identifying, and trackingman-made objects in low-earth orbit. Job Responsibilities: Duties include, but not limited to: * Apply comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practicesof systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02and 5000.75, as well as knowledge of roles and relationships within the DoDand the Air Force. * Apply knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques forgathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency andproductivity of acquisition programs. * Support activities that assist the program manager in assessing whatprograms are within schedule and cost baselines * Recommend viable solutions to problems and the pursuit of alternativecourses of action. * Effectively communicate verbally and in written communications. * Provide quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings,documents, plans, etc) * Plan, research, analyze and assess system acquisition in terms ofdevelopment, production and deployment of weapons systems and associatedequipment. * Formulate plans and recommend effective strategies in meeting cost,schedule and performance objectives. * Support and develop acquisition reports, including statutory andregulatory reports (i.e. DAES, MAR, etc.). * Support program management reviews, senior level meeting/reviewsand IMP/IMS reviews. * Supporting and developing various briefings/schedules of programstatus and acquisition tasks to senior management. * Supporting implementation and execution of Agile software developmentprocesses in concert with Government and Prime contractors Qualifications: * Valid DOD Secret clearance * US Citizenship * Has the knowledge, experience and demonstrated ability to performtasks related to the technical/professional discipline they are performing. * Has the ability to work independently and apply the proper proceduresand process related to their area of expertise. * Shall also have the ability to problem solve and troubleshoot varioussituations to develop successful outcomes within established program/projectguidelines. (Program Office and Staff Level Support interface) Education and Experience: * BA/BS, 10 years of experience in the respectivetechnical/professional discipline being performed, 3 of which must be inthe DoD OR, 15 years of directly related experience with propercertifications as described in the Functionally Aligned Job Descriptions, 5of which must be in the DoDOdyssey Systems Consulting Group, LTD.
