Open Date 10/29/2018 Full-Time/Part-Time PositionProject Engineer (AF TENCAP) (JNY) Location MCSG - Schriever AFB,Colorado SpJOB SUMMARY: Provides Air Force Tactical Exploitation of NationalCapabilities (AFTENCAP) professional engineering, technology developmentand project management support including technical assessment, planning,experimentation, demonstration, and prototyping of national to tacticalintelligence systems capabilities including tactical sensor integration andmulti-sensor SIGINT, ELINT, and GEOINT/OPIR fusion in direct support ofwarfighter requirements to enhance USAF and Joint warfighting capability.Provide engineering and system integration support to AF TENCAP projectinitiation, planning, execution, transition and close out activities.PRIMARY DUTIES:Responsible for providing engineering support to programs, systemsdevelopment efforts, acquisition, and research and development technologyinitiatives involving the application of US National System capabilities insupport of warfighter requirements. Requires strong grasp of engineeringfundamentals and working knowledge of RF based electronic systems to includeboth communications and radar sensors systems.Work with government and contractor program managers to provide engineeringoversight for various tasks including planning, programming, budgeting,scheduling, financial management execution, contracting, cost/riskanalysis, and logistics planning.Monitor and enforce compliance to applicable codes, practices, qualityassurance and control policies, performance standards and specifications forengineering design. Review engineering deliverables and initiate or recommendcorrective actions as appropriate.Leverage current and emerging technologies to enhance national capabilities ofUS, joint fighter, bomber, attack, C2ISR, aircraft and munitionscapabilities. Facilitate the transition of these capabilities, innovativeconcepts, technologies, and processes to the warfighter through theexecution of project proof of concept demonstrations, rapid prototyping,testing and integration of quick reaction capabilities.Provide support by performing research on potential shortfalls of multiplesystems associated with national systems and support AF TENCAP in identifyingand evaluating current technologies for potential application againstvalidated shortfalls/requirements.Provide engineering support to project evaluations, project proof of conceptdemonstrations, prototyping, testing and project quick reactioncapabilities and facilitate the integration of operational systems into thoseprojects.Support managing technical and special security activities, overseetechnical cost, performance, and project schedule metrics of othercontractor activities in the performance of AFTENCAP associate
