Millennium Engineering Project Lead in Colorado Springs, Colorado

The candidate will lead a small engineering team assigned to a classifiedresearch and development effort. The candidate will be required to work withand lead system and software engineers in a dynamic and demanding environment. The job requires a strong background in system integration and teamleadership. Lead will coordinate across a wide variety of contractors andvarious government agencies. Strong verbal and written communications skillsare a must. The lead will be responsible for the development, operation,and maintenance of hardware and software within a classified lab environment.Experience with Missile Defense Agency (MDA) and other DoD space andsurveillance systems is desired. Project Lead for the contract. Manage all costs, proposals,deliverables, status reporting required by the contract. Work with primecontractor to ensure all requirements are fully defined and understood. Provide day-to-day guidance to the technical team. Provide technical consultation to other organizations. Interact with senior customer personnel and internal senior management. Create user and engineering document to capture requirements, designsand architectures. Plan, conduct, and coordinate software and system development activities. Represent the organization as a technical contact, interacting withsenior external personnel on technical matters. Ensure MEI's software standards and procedures are implemented. Serve as primary POC for all technical interchange meetings with prime andgovernment.o Strong written and oral communication skills.o Ability to develop technical solutions to complex problems which require theregular use of ingenuity and creativity.o Strong interpersonal skills to interact with senior customers, managementand team members.o Ability to lead a technical team.o Ability to work independently and as part of a team.o Comfortable working in a dynamic and demanding work environment.Millennium offers a comprehensive benefits package.
