Verizon Project Mangement Implementation Engineer in Colorado Springs, Colorado
What you’ll be doing...
Verizon is investing in its network to improve the way we live, work, and communicate. Our network transformation will be critical for all our future connectivity businesses including new products such as IoT, 5G, and future smart cities. As part of this network transformation, you will help build one network engineered for growth for all lines of business.
You will manage all aspects of Intelligent Edge Network readiness in One Fiber assigned cities. Tasks include preparing overall delivery schedule and time line, escalating issues internally and externally to meet deliverables, managing project budget internally and with vendor, reporting status of deliverables.
Drive complex projects and programs to achieve targeted and measured business goals and key objectives.
Coordinate and schedule resources across multiple organizations to align project requirements with business goals and objectives.
Identify, monitor, report and escalate project-related issues to achieve timely resolution.
Develop and implement corrective action plans to mitigate impact to project schedules and overall business objectives.
Utilize project tracking tools and systems to accurately document milestone completions, project issues, corrective action plans, project jeopardies, and overall project completions.
Maintain excellent communication with Functional Team Members and Direct Management to ensure early identification of issues and timely reporting of status.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Four or more years of relevant work experience.
Project management experience.
Even better if you have:
Five or more years project management experience driving cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated effective interpersonal and team building capabilities.
Strong project planning and time management experience.
Demonstrated excellent verbal, written, analytical and communication skills.
Proven ability to influence organizational direction and initiatives across all leadership levels.
Experience with SRM/SAP as well as expense and/or capital budgets.
Demonstrated excellent problem solving skills.
Demonstrated expert knowledge and proven experience with the full suite of Microsoft Office, including Microsoft Project, and the Clarity Software Application suite.
Demonstrated competency in Telecommunications technologies, networks and business processes.
Proven track record of leading multiple complex projects to successful completion.
