Aboveall, we believe that collaboration is the best way forward.Primary ResponsibilitiesAs an integral part of the Colorado Springs Design Team, the PublicationsCoordinator (PC) performs a multitude of functions including graphicdesign, brand development, document and deliverable layout, and projectcoordination in a focused, deadline-driven environment.Working with project teams composed of planners, engineers, analysts,GIS specialists, subject matter experts, and project managers, the PCfacilitates formal discussions about the design of deliverables and executesthat design, whether applicable to a report, presentation, poster,brochure, illustrative graphic, website, SharePoint site, medialabels, or any other deliverable as defined by the scope of work.The ability to take complex, technical information and present it inattractive and professional products demands creativity and the ability toapproach design problems with a variety of potential solutions. Attention todetail and excellent organizational skills are key, as the PC prepares forand leads production kickoff meetings, adheres to professional Design Teamand department standards, and complies with a stringent qualityassurance/quality control program. Strong written and verbal communicationskills are essential as the PC may be required to assist project teams withwriting, editing, and reviewing project deliverables. PCs may be requiredto travel with project teams to photograph sites, help facilitate or assistin stakeholder charrettes, and create polished deliverables in the field.QualificationsRequired Qualifications* Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts, Graphic Design, Web Design, orcombination of education and relevant experience* Minimum of four years' experience in graphic design,newspaper/magazine layout, publishing, journalism, marketing,architecture, or related field required* Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite is required* Expert-level use of Microsoft Word as well as functional use of MicrosoftExcel and Microsoft PowerPoint is necessary* Proficiency in SketchUp, SharePoint, and/or Dreamweaver desired* Knowledge of web design and web content management desired* Familiarity with one or more of the following stylebooks is desired:Associated Press, Government Printing Office, Chicago Manual of Style* Photography experience is a plus.* Preference given to local candidates.Why HDRAt HDR, we know work isn't only about who you work for; it'salso about what you do and how you do it.
