LinQuest Senior Systems Engineer, #4721 in Colorado Springs, Colorado

DescriptionLinQuest is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our team in ColoradoSprings, CO. This position will support the successful program outcomes forthe Space and Missile Systems Center / Ground Based Space SurveillanceDivision (SMC/SYG) Maintenance of Space Situational Awareness IntegratedCapabilities (MOSSAIC) contract.The MOSSAIC contract provides depot-level sustainment and modernization ofmultiple space situational awareness radars, optical telescopes in the USand overseas, software development and integration labs, and support toCommand and Control/Battle Management Command and Control centers andsystems. The program provides hardware and software engineering anddevelopment to modernize and sustain existing and evolving systems. As aJSE, you will support the development, testing, and integration of theMOSSAIC System of Systems (Portfolio). This includes responsibilities formanagement of systems engineering, software development, hardwareengineering, network engineering, developmental testing, technicalbaselines, enterprise integration and specialty engineering capabilities.Responsibilities:Ensure that all required systems engineering actions are adequately planned,integrated and that all modernization projects and tasks under the contractrun within scope, time, and budget constraintsPlan, execute, monitor and control personnel and financial resourcesManage multiple matrix-managed teams led by subordinate managers and/orsupervisors, including subcontractor personnel, working in an agiledevelopment environmentCreate, maintain, .and. edit an enterprise Systems Engineering ManagementPlan (SEMP)Perform trade studies to identify technical solutionsDevelop and maintain technical baselines, requirements documents, designdocuments, test requirements, and other technical documentationPerforming risk analysis and implement risk mitigation plansPerform information assuranceInterface with the team to develop opportunities for innovation and continuousimprovementRequired Experience:Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or related field with 5+years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 3+ years ofrelevant expeExperience with ground based radar and/or optical sensorsExperience developing technical specifications, requirements, interfacecontrol documents, etcExperience using modelling and simulation to validate system designsExperience supporting project teamsExperience performing risk analysis and implement risk mitigation plansExperience preparing and presenting technical analyses and briefings tocompany management, customers, and stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communications skillsFamiliar with IBM DOORS Requirements Management ToolAn active Top Secret clearance with ability to obtain TS/SCI is required tobe considered for this positionPreferred Experience:Master's degree in engineering, science, or related fieldPrior Air Force Space Command, Space and Missile Systems Center experienceQualificationsLicenses .and.
