DescriptionLinQuest is seeking a Software Engineer with C++ or C# developmentskills to join our team at our office in Colorado Springs, CO.The GIANT team is looking for talented and motivated engineers to advance thestate of the art of Position, Navigation and Timing (PNT) modeling andsimulation (M.and.S). The Global Position System (GPS) Interference AndNavigation Tool (GIANT) is employed by engineers and operators throughoutthe US DoD and by our allies to design, test, train, and operate bothcurrent and future PNT capabilities in realistic, challenging NavigationWarfare (NAVWAR) scenarios. As a Software Engineer, you will join afast-paced agile team to create and integrate new algorithms and sensormodels, develop and integrate interfaces, and ensure continuousimprovement of the software and associated databases. Engineers on thisinterdisciplinary team collaborate to deliver a complete softwarecapability, covering everything from working with customers to define anoperational need through deployment and training, to enable our warfighters toAs a Software Engineer, you will develop engineering software to predict theperformance of current and future GPS and other PNT sensors in operationalscenarios. Tasking includes implementing algorithms to simulate theperformance of GPS, communication system, and sensor performance;developing graphical user interfaces (GUIs) for configuration and datavisualization; and creating application programming interfaces (APIs) toprovide other applications access to the core simulation features. Engineersprovide support for the complete software development life cycle includingdesign, integration, technical documentation, and testing.Responsibilities:Perform software design and development in C++ or C# and SQLCollaborate with systems engineers and subject matter experts to refinerequirementsDevelop and review software designs for appropriateness, completeness, andrecommend changes to support project objectivesReview and assess designs for compliance with computer/network security bestpractices Required Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in software engineering, computer science, or relateddisciplineAt least 5 years of experience in software engineeringExperience with C++ or C# and SQLExperience designing and integrating application programming interfaces(e.g., REST)Experience with software optimization and performance tuning tools andtechniquesExperience with continuous integration process and toolsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsAbility to travel up to 10%US Citizenship and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance is required Preferred Skills and Experience:Master's degree in software engineering, computer science, or relateddisciplineExperience working as a member of an agile software development team(e.g., Scrum, Kanban)Experience developing modeling and simulation softwareExperience planning and leading projectsExperience working with Global Navigation Satellite Systems (GNSS),Global Positioning System (GPS), GLONASS, or GalileoExperience developing and/or applying alternative PNT sensor andcommunication system modelsExperience developing cross-platform software on both Linux and Windowsoperating systemsExperience with PythonExperience with geospatial markup languagesExperience developing desktop graphical user...
